Use imovie 09, or a video edit program that supports AVCHD like movie edit 15 plus, for the PC.

I have never used Vegas, I only use the ones I mentioned Before. I use them with both my Canon HV30 & My HF20. I'm pretty sure you can find a video on youtube that can help you. I know I did. :)
