1:45 Tony parker's amazing footwork....killer hesitation and crossover and dream shake
and you won't find these on ESPN sportscenter highlight reel, that is strictly reserved for overhyped black american athletes and has no place for international greats like Manu Ginobili, Dirk, Steve Nash and Tony Parkers of the world.
Barley rates Dirk, did you guys not see him on NBATV, saying Dirk is like that player telling everyone to come get some, cus Dirk was handing it out to ALL!!! Priceless!
@AxonMoses Charles Barkley... Did he lead his team to a championship? No, he got his ass handed to him by MJ. Dirk carried a SCRUB old team to the NBA CHAMPIONSHIP averaging 27.7 ppg through 21 games. That is Michael Jordan level right there, except while playing against SUPERB current defenses.
Dirk is a top 15 player to ever play the game, and if you're challenging my opinion that these are the best 2 PFs ever, you should have at least came up with Karl Malone. The closest thing to those 2.
Another thing, I bring up Barkley because he scored just as well as Nowitzki, Check the numbers, while rebounding far better and being a superior playmaker with steals and assists. You say DIrk had no help, but Chandler controlled the boards for the Mavs and Kidd constantly fed Nowitzki the ball, that is quality help. Superb defense? Other than Wade and LeBron Miami's D is not that great.
Malone was a playoff choker which is why I didnt use him as an example.
@AxonMoses The only Mavs games you saw this season were probably just the NBA Finals, but prior to that there was almost no one on the team that could make a play for themselves and Chandler was really the only decent player outside Dirk. Did Barkley score during an era with 5 star calibre defense like there is today?
"Other than Wade and Lebron Miami's D is not that great"? Sorry but if you didn't know, the Heat were top 5 in defense before LeBron came. Haslem also a quality defender.
Actually Barkley did, Chicago had a monstrous defense with Jordan, Grant and PIppen and he still managed to drop a lot of points on them. Also Chandler was their leader in rebounds, blocks and FG% all season, with KIdd being their assist leader at 8.2, so no help all season?
Haslem is a quality defender but he did not get the right minutes which made the Heat a lot less effective on defense than they could be (Think game 2 where Chris Bosh was put on Nowitzki at the end).
@AxonMoses Charles Barkley wasnt even better than Karl Malone. I would even take Kevin Garnett over Barkley because Garnett could play both offense and defense at an elite level
Yes he was, Barkley didnt choke in clutch situations, he grabbed rebounds like a madman and poured in points. Malone was more durable and a better scorer in the regular season, but Barkley is several levels above him in the playoffs.
This playoff series was such a classic. Nowitzki and Duncan two great players and even greater guys off the court. Examples of how superstars should act. What a battle it was somebody had to win and I was sure happy it was the Mavs.
If Manu Ginobili doesn't foul Dirk Nowitzki the Spurs repeat as champions and beat the Miami Heat. They would have 5 titles by now all cuz of one play.
@xfactor541 They played alot better defense and they have a player like Bruce Bowen able to play and perimeter player one on one. Which means less fouls on D Wade since it was pretty much D wade that killed the Mavs 4 games straight in the finals. Wouldn't have happened to the Spurs everybody except Mav and heat fans know it.
@TomTheSpursDude If the Spurs weren't able to take advantage of so many injuries to key opponents they would have about 2 titles. How about those '99 Knicks. 5 injured players, including 2 starters.
@TomTheSpursDude and if Terry made the shot at the end of Game 5, Mavs would have won in 5 ... And if Terry made his Jumper at the end of Game 3 in the Finals, Dallas would have went up 3-0 and Dirk's unfair criticism would be invisible ...
Wow one of the best games ever and one of the best atmospheres ive ever seen.

Wow, look @2:11 Duncan vs. Van Horn, lol.
No. 1 and No. 2 in the 1997 NBA Draft.
I remember people saying Duncan would be the next dominant big man and Van Horn was supposed to be the next Larry Bird...?

This was the Mavs Finals as far as their fans were concerned lol

oh man Manu was great in this series!!!! had the spurs won game 7. Manu wouldve been a hero and deserved more credit for the Spurs success

this was a great series.
Dallas survived because they shot an epic % in the first half to build the lead. and then they persevered in the end

What a great match-up. I miss these days when these two would go head to head like that. I just wish the Spurs could have pulled through. :(

i'll always wonder what Ginobili was thinking when he fouled Nowitzki. If he scored with no and 1 We still had the ball to make free throws.
