@ABCDEFGHI3295 ill sound like a right gay for asking this but why do you say exactly 47? and not another particular number.. i don't get this joke :s I usually get stuff like this but its 11 at night and yh.. :p
@ABCDEFGHI3295 Oh yeah i know that :) I was just wondering if there was any specific reason why the song says "47" sailors and not another number, never mind, it was late at night and i was like WHATT?!?!? SOMEONE EXPLAIN PLEASE! Its okay haha, ignore my incompetence :D
@MinisterAilingTongue Voters in a BBC poll placed Jeeves & Wooster in the Top 10 of Masterpiece Theatre broadcasts - Fry was very good as Jeeves; Laurie irreplaceable as Wooster.
@jackolas2007 Yes, it's an air vent, possibly from an oven, but more likely from a chimney flue or simply leading to an external wall.
We had them in the house I grew up in, which was built in this period. A decorative wedge-shaped box leaning out from the wall, to cover the vent behind. I remember them being very popular with wasps, for building their nests.
I miss the good old days when Hugh Laurie did not have a beard and Stephen Fry looked adorable and did not resemble a toad. An intellegent, well-spoken and kind hearted toad, who goes to great lengths to save fellow toads, mind you, but sadly a toad nevertheless.
Bertie Wooster singing and playing the piano? To an enthusiastic little dog? Frankly, I'm surprised my computer hasn't exploded from all the cuteness. Meanwhile, Jeeves is thinking, "Why, oh why can't he play some Debussy instead? I hate the rich. I really do.". ;) Great clip!
i bought the whole series on video many years ago, i now have it on dvd. it is absolutely the best ever funniest stuff to ever grace the tele. of course apart form the marvellous performances from the wonderful duo, we have the great Wodehouse to thank for creating such wonderful characters.
OP thanks for posting the link, I have been looking for the sheet music to this for years!
