@quiet45mom I have CF and am just about to go on the list. It's a 2 month wait for the assessment though. At the end of that 3 day assessment, they tell you straight away if you're on the list. I just WISH the government would make organ donation an opt-out system!

when you actually see the lungs ALONE, functioning like this, ACTUALLY seeing how it expands and contracts - seeing the importance of this giant mass... You truly understand the truth of how much you need it - and why its no simple thing to just fix if you fuck it up....

a horrifying thought picturing that being operated on and possibly even being taken out, while in my body.
