S2 Day 28 - Money blocks over work - feedback appreciated

oprah talks about this very thing in her mag this month! she says if u do what u love, every bit of money u pull in is a "bonus!" so u are totally on the right path. also...abraham talks about this hot stove concept that i think also really relates. i can send u the link if u like. u should say that attract money. lots of it. and it is so easy for u to make money. u have loads of it already. perfecto. : )

Jaye, I still struggle with the notion that if you enjoy what you are doing it is not "real work" and so I shouldn't charge for it. Like yourself, I am working on this.

I also wanted to point out what I commented about on one of your previous videos: see how you have carried on as your parents modeled--working hard at odd times depriving yourself of proper sleep. We must be the example we want our children to adopt. So, I say, step it up on the self-care.

I can see it, but after 46 years its hard to change some of it.. but you're right and thats why this season is all about 'me'... ugh, i still feel so selfish saying that..lol

Had a big weight lifted off my shoulders tonight so that will help a little.. i'll do a vid tomorrow, but after singing to Taragh last night i think the group need a break from my vids..lol

You totally hit it right on the head when it comes to the blockages regarding money. But I think it's a simple realization that you DO deserve the money. You provide a service...and you deserve payment. You don't have to work yourself to the bone to consider yourself a hard worker or someone who deserves your financial rewards. So let those financial blessing flow right on in my dear!

Easier said than done though isn't it... I know i deserve it..! But actually getting enough is not so easy.

Its like which came first, the chicken or the egg!! I need money to get back on track, but need to get back on track to earn money!

I am making progress but its stressful with 2 kids, no financial support and bailifs knocking on the door..!! sigh..

I know i'll get there, but sometimes the light is hard to see at the end of the tunnel!

When I trained as a counsellor many years ago, my trainer told me not to be ashamed of taking money for doing something we enjoy and for which we have a talent. I'd like to pass that on. :)

And you enjoy cleaning?! Can you call round to my place sometime. It's a tip! With my money situation you'll have to do it purely for the pleasure of it, mind! :)

Okay, i know this is sad, but i've blitzed friends houses when they're moving as they hate it and i love doing it.!!

Now lets see.. what services could we exchange... are you any good at building websites per chance..lol

There are loads and loads of things i love doing, I'm a real multi tasker, but not so good at narrowing it down to one niche!

I have a 5 yr plan for what i want to do ultimately, but 6 months in, i'm not making much headway. I think its time to review my action plan..!

Not yet. I'm going to have a holiday first. The last 15 years have been quite exhausting.

Nope, i work from home inbetween home educating the kids, looking after the house and trying to keep the debt collectors off my back.. I'm also trying to pick up my studies again and I'm writing my own book.. so i don't have time to sleep every night, i usually just do every other night. I've only slept about 6 hours in the last 3 days, so i really must sleep tonight.. lol

The holiday sounds a great idea, i could do with one of those, its been a few years!!

Well actually I'm in the middle of swapping rooms round as the boys 'work' in their bedrooms and i work in the spare bedroom, but its better if we all work in one room, instead of runnning between rooms all the time, so i'm putting us all in the dining room and putting the dining room in the study, then i have to put the five 6ft tall bookcases from the study into the spare bedroom.. phew.. lol

I moved bits out of the boys rooms while they slept last night.. who needs sleep...he he! Jaye x

Jaye- i was always like that too...when i was at College i worked at a clothing store and a bar at night and i taught aerobics at several places. I still love my financial independence, hence the jewellery. There is NOTHING better than doing what you LOVE for a living!!! Don't feel guilty about it!!! That is the GOAL!!! Love megan xxx

Strange, i had bought 2 houses of my own before i met my husband, but i just gave up all control of my life to him when we married. I stopped working fulltime because he wanted me to be home... then as he was the only one earning i gave up my bank account.. he even claimed the child benefit when we had kids..!!

OMG.. what was i thinking!! Its just dawning on me how weak i became..!! Wow..!!

A few weeks back, someone who didn't know me, or the kids, or much about our lives, judged me, based on her prejudices! She told me i was 'damaging' my kids!! It felt like a kick in the gut. Then i realised it was her bias and her problem, not mine.

I'm a good mum, thats reflected in my sons who are great kids and draw compliments wherever we go. I don't always get it right, but i do the very best i can, with the tools and resources available to me.

STRONG! I'm getting there
