You answered your own question, Jealousy. Miracles such as these are not about ego. They are to show the work and glory of God. You should not look for miracles such as these, you should look to live the life God wants of you.
Emma, even the Nuns feel what you feel right now, envy, when Sister Faustina has living. Have you read the Diary yet. Jesus pick the purest soul. We can all be pure if we can "despice ourselves, and abandon ourselves to God completely" But still the miracle like this is in God's decision not ours. So keep praying for the things you can suffer for to save a lot of souls for Jesus. Everything in your power offer them to Christ... Jesus said through contempletion on His passion you can do so much.
