@BlueLeader747 Science is just a part of us. It becomes dangerous when it serves human greed instead of human love, that's all. As it is now, science serves only the smallest part of man's interest, while it ignores (at best) or destroys animals and the environment, as well as makes people sick. Check out superfund sites, the list of side effects on any pharmaceutical advert, or the known cancerous effects from pesticides, etc. Human usage of the laws of science is what's sad.
Has anyone ever told you that God loves you and has a Wonderful plan for you life? i have a real quick but important question to ask you, if you were to die today do you no for sure beyond a shadow of a doubt that you'd go to heaven ? if not say this with your heart and lips out loud pray, Jesus, forgive me of my sin, save me, be my Lord,U have come in the flesh, died & rose for me,Jesus is my Lord.
What about those who come to the er completley out of it their eyes shut and they cant hear clearly but yet some can accurtly describe what was said and describle how people looked and even how they were dressed. Not seeing these people until well after these happenings.
@Failpailirl Why, then do all NDE's a) follow the same script, b) provide feelings of unconditional love that are life changing and feel more real than "real" life and c) allow experiencers to see and hear things going on while they are dead? I have had an NDE and also done DMT, which is always different from user to user, and is rarely if ever accompanied by feelings of unconditional love. Brain chem. might play a part in the death experience, but that'll never explain the rest of it.
@brainless14 You may have a point, but consider this...Most stories are based on at least some facts and all great stories tell a truth that is recognizable in our hearts.
I was with you till the end. What a person sees near death is not evidence. Large doses of Dimethyltryptamines are released into the brain right before death so you see whatever you want. That makes this a trip story and not proof that god exists.
Brain chemistry, like our bodies as a whole are part of all that is. That certainly doesn't DISPROVE God either. Even the most powerful empathogens are nothing compared to the NDE experience. Dark matter accounts for 83% of the weight of the Universe while visible matter only accounts for 17%. Scientists haven't a clue as to what dark matter is. So, in light of what the Lakota people of South Dakota call Wakan Tanka (Great Mystery), perhaps our highest self should be aspired to, God or not!
@brainless14 Also, DMT will never explain how Vicky Noratuk, blind since birth was able to see during her NDE, while she was clinically dead no less. And how Pam Reynolds Lowery saw the surgical tools and heard conversations between doctors during a surgery in which every vital sign was being monitored and she was by every measure...dead. Don't blame you for being a skeptic. To someone who doesn't speak a foreign language, it might sound like jibberish...just don't be so sure. Do research.
@mjdosz Please don't say things like "DMT will never explain" and things of that nature after you just said scientists don't know everything. NDE's by all accounts that I've read are just DMT and Adrenaline.
True science has only really been happening since the Renaissance. That is such a minor time in our exist and we've only just begun learning. Nothing we know will disprove god. I am saying this video does not show "proof of the afterlife" as the title claims.
This whole subject is bloody pointless. It makes no sense, has no evidence and can't be proven for shit. Yet people still fall for shit like this because they so utterly want to live forever in a mystical land where they can do what they want when they want. It's just so pathetic. Listen to yourselves. If you take these peoples sayings as evidence then you might as well believe me when I say that I have a mini fire breathing dragon in my room right now, no, it's true, it's my pet...
@1123joey .... because the NDE they had was so bad. So do some research before you make such ridiculous statements. Why don't you have the guts to speak to someone who had an NDE? Are you afraid of facing the truth? Try telling them that their NDE was not scientific enough and see how far you get in your argument. You don't care how many are against you, you will never change your opinion, huh? Doesn't sound very open or sound minded to me.
@cameronmoj I just laugh at the fact you see this as evidence. You have no idea what evidence is, you honestly don't. DOCTORS say these experiences mean something, when as a matter of fact, science says different, there is no scientific evidence for what you and these videos claims. You talk about truth and how I couldn't know it even if it hit me in the face, when the real truth is, you yourself are far from any truth. You believe in a God, you're an idiot. My case is closed.
@1123joey: “DOCTORS say these experiences mean something, when as a matter of fact, science says different” Physicalism and science are not one in the same, physicalism is just a belief system that stems from scientific data. Science is neutral. There is plenty of evidence, both scientific and anecdotal that conflicts with the notion that mind=brain, and debunking mind=brain is all that is required to make the case for consciousness after death.
@1123joey: Such as severe hydrocephalus with above average cognition and no mental deficit, terminal lucidity in cases of severe brain damage, brainless organisms demonstrating complex behavior and learning capacity, and psychedelic studies where people report vastly increased conscious awareness, visions, and communication with entities where the only measurable change in the brain is a reduction in activity and blood flow.
@1123joey: The anecdotal evidence, which I also find very compelling includes case studies of shared/group NDEs, a mountain of accurate veridical perception accounts during NDEs including veridical perception in the congenitally blind who had literally never dreamed of sight before, induced after death communication, and shared deathbed visions.
@AnduinX At the end of the day, where is science publishing these findings? If there were evidence for these claims you make, then science would have published them, it would be all over the news, even where I'm from. But you know what, it isn't, because they haven't found anything that is evidence for this kind of thing, whether you think it is or not. I see no evidence, therefore I and everyone else for that matter has no reason to believe these claims. You're deluded.
I don't think you see your hypocrisy but you just make wild claims such as god saving you from hell once you're in it (I don't even think most bibles say that) and then turn down any form of actual evidence there is.
Prove to me that god exists and I shall listen intently.
@brainless14 Great question! The evidence that convinced me was the case of Pam Reynolds. What is unique about her case was that her surgery required every possible clinical measure of life and death to be monitored. There's no way she could have seen and heard what she did and when. Faith is an important part of this because it helps you to become more skilled at bringing love into this world on your own. It's like exercise that evolves your spirit. Go to near-death com...good resource.
@brainless14--The beautiful thing is that you only get the proof when you step out in faith and no longer require it. God, in His wisdom has seen fit to hide the truth from the 'brilliant' minds of the world and disclose to those who are as trusting as children. How does it feel to fall for the obvious trap?
There is a Jewish proverb: He who can't dance says the band can't play. Many of us have first hand experience with NDEs. Science cannot DISPROVE it. So really we have far more evidence than you, and any accusations of fraud. Peace bro.
@TheDrewManXD (Cont'd) another atheist says it was because of too much CO2 in the blood. When you compare what people who had ndes say, with the explanation atheists give, it's like atheists are trying to fight canon-fire with bow and arrows. Your explanations are just so hollow and pathetic.
@TheDrewManXD One interesting thing though. All these atheists who beat the drum about how ndes are hallucinations have never ever had the guts to have an open debate with someone who has had an nde. I would love to see an atheist try to convince someone who has had an nde that they just hallucinated. But you guys are too gutless to ever face someone who has had an nde. You just sit back and come up with one ridiculous theory after another.
@TheDrewManXD You are wrong about your claim that only 4.7% of people who came back from the dead saw these visions. The figure is much higher than that. But let's assume you are right. Are you saying that what 4.7% of people saw doesn't matter, just because others didn't see anything? That's a bit like saying most people failed at flying before the Wright brothers succeeded. So because most failed, flight is a scientific impossibility. Get my drift?
@cameronmoj i used a calculator and made a math error so ill use a propotion here
11:52 people actually see things when they die which is an estimate of 20%. Therefor not everyone sees things when they die which has been proven through scientific research. To conclude research things through scientific evidence. It actually is really easy. Do to the lack of senses working with the dead i would have to say the cause of these sightings are from Sensory deprivation.
@TheDrewManXD: "is an estimate of 20%. Therefor not everyone sees things when they die which has been proven through scientific research." No, that has not been proven. Absence of memory does not prove absence of experience. I can go to sleep and dream through the night, and when I wake up I might not remember my dreams, but my lack of memory can't be taken as proof that I had no dreams.
@gamma701 "You can't say something is 'true' and use that same 'truth' to prove itself". You will have to explain this statement, because it's way too ambiguous. Yes, it is absolutely impossible to see your own body through the work of the brain, because when you see your own body, you are not connected to your brain. This is because you are out of your own body, but your brain is inside your body. That's a pretty straight forward argument.
@1123joey NDEs being a mere production of the brain and a hallucination are desperate arguments by atheists to deny the truth. Tell me this then. People who have seen their own bodies on the operating table are outside their bodies, but their brains are still inside their bodies. So if they are physically separated from their brains, then HOW ON EARTH can their brain be playing tricks on them? How can their brains have any influence on what they are seeing?
@cameronmoj you argue to 1123joey that Out-of-body experiences are REAL by saying that it is impossible to see your own body without any connection to the brain (physically), therefore being an impossible production OF the brain. I am not picking sides, but this argument is illogical because you are ASSUMING what you are arguing is TRUE. You can't say something is "true" and use that same "truth" to prove itself.
@1123joey You don't consider such important facts and instead resort to insulting and name calling. What are you afraid of? That there might be a better life after this one, instead of absolutely nothing? If you're so tough, why don't you go and talk to a person who has had an NDE like the ones who appear in this video? Try to convince them there is no afterlife. That all they saw was a merely a production of the brain.
@1123joey "You sir are ignorant. Pathetic if you ask me". Well I didn't ask you did I? And the reason I didn't ask you is because being an ignorant and pathetic person yourself, you cannot successfully judge me as being so. This subject doesn't fall into Atheists' hands. It falls flat on your faces, but you don't want to accept it. What more evidence do you want than what the people in this video testified? The fact that you deny such evidence is the epitome of ignorance.
@mickymorrison I commend you for not insulting anyone on the internet. But this has been contrary to the attitude of most atheists I've come across. I have generally found them to be intolerant, nasty and foul-mouthed in the way they speak to and treat religious people on the internet.
@cameronmoj To be totally honest, your attitude is no different from theirs right now. I think you need a lesson on what ignorant means. Ill informed, Lack of knowledge on the subject, etc. How are Atheist's ill informed on a subject that falls into their hands? When you say, God is real or an afterlife is real, we say, show me facts and evidence, you then SHOULD say, either, we don't have any or yes here they are, but you don't. You sir are ignorant. Pathetic if you ask me.
How is this in any way proof? When you're near death the brain releases a chemical called DMT, similar to that found in a plant also similar to weed, only this time it releases a lot of it. It causes the brain to dream, causes hallucinations. This is far from "proof" of an afterlife. The people weren't even dead, their brain is still active, still dreaming, still hallucinating. Please people get your facts straight. Yes I am Atheist, don't hate...
@1123joey: If these experiences were merely a production of the brain, then there would not be so many accounts of accurate veridical perception during NDEs.
@AnduinX I think you'll find there will be, especially because most of these people are religious, they believe in the same thing after death, meaning that they believe the same thing will happen, thus all of these situations are similar.
@1123joey: What are you suggesting, that people have the experience because they believe they will have the experience? That doesn't explain why people who don't believe they'll have the experience have veridical perception during an NDE. Or, more impressively why blind people who literally don't even dream of perceiving in such ways have had veridical perception.
@AnduinX Before you die, the brain releases a load of DMT, this makes you hallucinate and dream. Now you tell me what you think you're going to dream and hallucinate about when you add up these two things. Over you're lifetime, you've heard about religion, you've heard about an afterlife that religion offers, etc... now that mixed with the fact that no human on this planet wants to die - fact. What do you think your desire to happen is? Think about that, and it makes sense.
@1123joey Listen to yourself. None of the sentences in your comments gel. What the hell have hearing about religion, hearing about an afterlife and people not wanting to die has anything to do with ndes. You atheists keep repeating the words "dream" and "hallucinatio". Didn't you understand the brilliant explanation AnduinX gave? When you hallucinate or dream, there is very little clarity. People who have had ndes have clear consciousness and their visions have order and make sense.
@1123joey NDEs have been published in scientific journals. And why do you claim there is no validity for ndes if they are mentioned in a TV program? These TV programs are documentaries in which highly qualified professionals like neurosurgeons are giving testimony. All of your arguments are no different to all the other arguments atheists come up with. Baseless, hollow and utterly pathetic.
@cameronmoj With all due respect, this TV program is from America, one of the most corrupt places on the planet period. It's something like 90% of American's are Christian. That's shocking... 90% of people in that country believe in a myth... I don't know how anyone could live there... The things that get published there! Damn! It's difficult to filter the decent stuff from the absolute shit. You've clearly fucked up here. Where is the scientific proof for an afterlife? Get me some.
@1123joey In any case, I'd rather deal with Christians. They're a lot less twisted than atheists. Where is the scientific proof for an afterlife, you ask. Are you blind? Haven't you understood these videos? If you want scientific proof, watch "The day I died" Parts 3 and 4 on you tube. It talks about the case of Pam Reynolds. In order to operate on a tumour in a very sensitive part of the brain, they had to lower her body temperature, stop her heart and breathing, ....
@1123joey Cont'd ..... her brain waves were flattened and blood was drained from her head. She then had an NDE where she accurately recalled surgical instruments and what happened in the operating room. She also met two dead relatives - her grandmother and her uncle. Then she came back into her own body. Go and watch that video and come back to me and comment on it. Go on. I dare you. Bet you don't have the guts, because you can't handle the truth.
@1123joey Mate, as well as the one I just recommended, there are dozens of videos on you tube where neurosurgeons testify to the scientific reality of these experiences. Yet you say there no scientific evidence. It's like you're standing in a dark room with no windows and you're denying the sun exists. When I asked you whether you prefer an afterlife that is better than this life, or you prefer there to be nothing after death, you didn't answer the question.
@1123joey What are you afraid of? That there might be another life after you die? That you might go to a much happier place when you end your earthly life? Would you honestly rather believe there is nothing when you die as oppose to a much happier afterlife? I tell you what, if that is what you prefer, there is something seriously wrong with you (along with every other atheist).
@cameronmoj Shall I tell you what I'm afraid of? I'm afraid of the human race surcumbing to one of the most pathetic ideas humanity could have ever come up with. The whole point of the afterlife is because of God. Seen as though God isn't real, the afterlife isn't real, or do you believe in God too? If so then no wonder you actually believe any of this. I don't care if everyone here is against me, numbers make no difference when it comes to who's right and who's wrong.
@1123joey Goodness gracious me. You atheists just can't come up with a logical or coherent argument. You yourself can't even come up with one single argument that doesn't sound twisted or abnormal. Yes I do believe in God. You can't tell God isn't real when, by the sounds of it, you've done little or no research on the subject. Not every TV program on NDEs comes from America. 90% of Americans are Christians? Where do you get those facts? Sounds like a number you just made up.
@cameronmoj i dont think any argument has been more abnormal or twisted than an being which is infinite (which is impossible because every thing has a begigining and an end) create our earth in 3 days and everything else in 6 days even though in our galaxy alone there are literally billions of planets that occupy the goldilocks zone that if it took 3 days just for our planet it would take a entire googol to make our galaxy along with the billions of the other galaxies (cont.)
@TheDrewManXD that have earth like planets on like the billions of ones in our galaxy. even scientists are studying for multiverses in void itself. God or not science is the most logical viewpoints!
@TheDrewManXD one thing before i go. Im not going to sit here and disprove god for you. I know it means a lot to you but it would be wrong to make you lose something you hold dear to you and i could not make someone go through that. I bid you good day and if there is a god may him or her bless you.
@cameronmoj When you say "Would you honestly rather believe there is nothing when you die as oppose to a much happier afterlife?" There is nothing when you die, when has science actually looked into this matter? Where is the evidence for an afterlife? I don't see any, you know why? Because there is none! How could anyone deny reality to this magnitude. If you believe in an afterlife, why are you here? Go kill yourself, after all its a better life. Kill yourself and live happily ever after. Do it
@1123joey And the reason you didn't answer the question is because you don't want to answer the question honestly. "If you believe in an afterlife ... Kill yourself and live happily ever after". You have once again shown your ignorance. Every Religion teaches that if you kill yourself, your soul will suffer in the afterlife. There are people who have had NDEs after after attempting suicide, and every one of them said they will never attempt suicide again, because the NDE they had was
@1123joey: Also, I think you misinterpreted my comment. What I found impressive was not veridical perception, it was accurate veridical perception. That is, when they revive they’re actually able to correlate what they saw with reality. Near death experience boards and groups are littered with such stories. I have had family members who relayed such stories. They do not fit in with the materialist model.
@AnduinX Sometimes you just need to look at the bigger picture and it all makes sense why stuff like this happens. It's easy for someone to turn round and say, this means there's an afterlife, what isn't easy, is for someone (science) to turn round and actually look at the claims these people make, the people that have these experiences are not well accepted scientists, if there was valid scientific proof for this, it would be published by science, not a TV program.
@Jackitreborn Please explain the meaning of the comment addressed to me if you can. I say if you can, because I find your comment completely meaningless. You atheists are so pathetic. You don't have any strong arguments, so you come up with weak or cynical ones. Oh, btw, your comment to AngelofBeauty123x shows you believe there IS a Creator. Put your foot in that one, didn't you?
@cameronmoj I'm an Atheist. I keep my views to myself, why can't you do the same? I have no desire to insult anybody over the Internet, so please don't tar us all with the same brush. Please have tolerance.
Tell that to the other Atheists who keep harrassing Christians over the internet. I cannot go to a video without someone arguing about religion. I'm glad your being mature though unlike most people on Youtube.
God is before Science & outside time. Science is just to point out abt the mystery & intelligence about our Creator. Human mind will never understand everything abt the mystery of God. But God wants us to know more about him. The most important thing is, r u sure about your sins are forgiven & your salvation? God is Love and he wants us to avoid hell which are not meant for us, but the demons n the fallen angels. We just need to accept his son Jesus who died for us n saved us from all our sins.
Why must the forums on things like this be full of religious freaks harking on about fucking Jesus. We are made of star dust. The universe is intelligent. Its just the next dimension. Nothing to do with a bearded bloke 2000 years ago. Its so sad seeing so many weak minded people
in the 1st place u've already blocked ur mind from accepting the fact about the existence of God. What makes you so sure about we are made of star dust? There are so many evidence everywhere about the spiritual realm which cannot be seen by most of the human eyes. Do you know what are unseen is more real than what can be seen? can you measure faith? i can't see your brain does it mean that you have no brain? Jesus says "I am the Way the Truth and the Life, no one comes to the Father but by me."
By the way, in a way you are right about the stardust, we are all made up of dust and given with a spirit and there came a Life. After we die, the physical bodies go back to dust but our souls will remain forever. Is there anyone else says it with such an authority other than Jesus? Jesus either is a BIG LIAR or...HE IS WHO HE SAYS HE IS. If you seek him with your open heart you'll find him.
@JesusIsMyRest when will you jesus freaks move on and look at the world in a way that makes sense...namely realistically....im deeply spiritual but i really cant stand religion...it is and always has been the biggest cause of misery known to mankind..your over 2000 years out of date....look up the word evolutoin and evolve
@anatureperson You expressed your views very eloquently, but I still have to disagree. Awakenings normally involve someone who is in good physical health. The people in this video were sick and dying. They also talk about every moment of their lives going past them, feeling the effect of everything they did to others and meeting a Being of absolute perfection. People having awakenings don't have these feelings, because you have to have some sort of death experience to feel these things.
I don't think these experiences are near death experiences. I believe it is simply the essence of who you are that is temporarily separated from the body. Without an ego the feeling is that you are one with everything. The experience is similar to what others have labeled as having an "awakening" but it is experienced while in the body.
This video prompts me to inform people on Youtube of this simple fact. There are no people at rest in cemetaries. The only things you will find burried in cemetaries......are human remains, rings, surgical impants, prosthesis, eye glasses and dental fillings, etc... but not a single person.
I had an out of body experience twice in my lifetime. Both connected to Jesus who I didnt even know. I wasnt a believer until I realized the importance of knowing that we are spirit, soul, and body. And those three are one which makes us what we are. My spirit is what left my body it wasnt my brain that was working at all as it was deprived of oxygen. Maybe someday I will tell more on this. :-)
@rudiga666 Cont'd You said "there is no %100 truth if anything is real". Yet another weak and ambiguous argument from an atheist. What kind of an argument is that? If there is no 100% truth that ANYTHING is real, then there is no 100% truth that gravity is real. Does that mean you are prepared to jump off a 1000ft cliff incase gravity is not real?
@rudiga666 One problem that you atheists have is that you all assume too much. No I am not a Christian. I am a Baha'i. It is not Christianity that has caused war and death, but rather people who called themselves Christian, yet acted differently to what Jesus had taught. If you think the Bible and other Holy Books were written by normal humans, then give me just one example of an ordinary writer who wrote in the same style and meaningfulness as Holy Books were written.
@csincali It is absolutely atheists who are ignorant and stupid. At the end of the day, they are fighting to tell people not to believe there is a better life after this one and instead believe there is nothing when we die. That evil people who don't get punished before they die will never be punished anywhere. Then they deny evidence like this. Now that is ignorant and stupid.
@cameronmoj if this is having a go for for who dont believe in that jesus god stuff. and ur a full on christian. just remember. in the end. christianty has done nothing since jesus was apparently around and has only caused war and death.. u choose to believe what you want. there is no %100 truth if anything is real. and you will never know that. if u chose to live ur life praising the lord and living under his book. so be it. u live off a book that was written by normal humans.
@TheDrewManXD Your comment is the umpteenth comment I have received from an atheist who cannot present a good argument. If you see a point, then why would you still deny it? It is because you atheists live in a world of denial. You people will deny evidence even when it hits you flat on your faces.
@cameronmoj well if there is evidence it can be denied its as simple as that. 4.7% of people who are brought back from the dead actually saw these visions. Science has proved that too much CO2 in the bloodstream may be the cause. It is a well tested theory of science. Hoped i made you a little more intelligent.
@TheDrewManXD All you did was make yourself less intelligent. "Too much CO2 may be the cause". Well, "may be" is the operative phrase. Interesting that science comes up with so many "well tested theories". One minute atheists claim science says it is too much oxygen in the bloodstream, the next minute you say it is too much CO2. Tell me this: How the hell can too much CO2 cause people to see a being of absolute perfection? Or to feel love like they've never felt it before?
@TheDrewManXD The reason I never back out of a challenge from an atheist is because you guys at best come up with non-sensical arguments. I looked it up. The consequences of having too much CO2 in the blood are not related even remotely to having the NDE experiences these people had. Man, just stop and think about it. People who had NDEs talk about about feeling unconditional love, meeting a being of absolute perfection, being told their life has a purpose.
@TheDrewManXD They often talk about feeling the effect of all of their actions on people. Many of them say they were so happy they didn't want to come back. Many say they don't fear death any more. Almost all of them change for the better, like the millionaire in this video who became a counselor. Then in reply, atheists come up with hollow, baseless explanations. One minute atheists say it was too much oxygen in the blood, the next minute another atheist says it's because of
@TheDrewManXD And how can too much CO2 cause people to learn they have a purpose in their life and come back as changed people, like the millionaire in this video? Tell me one other thing. Have you, or any other atheist ever tried actually talking to a person who had an NDE and try to convince them there's a scientific explanation like too much CO2 for what they experienced? Hope I made YOU a little more intelligent.
@cameronmoj: I think that CO2 is a really poor explanation for the NDE. The effects of too much CO2 in the brain have been shown to produce confusion, coma, and dream-like hallucinations (which are usually nonsensical).
@AnduinX Thankyou very much indeed for the feedback about too much CO2. I looked it up and you are absolutely right. It is a very poor explanation for ndes. Atheists always come up with bad arguments. You only have to analyse their explanations, or do a bit of research, and their arguments fall apart like saturated vomit.
The NDE on the other hand is well known for the crystal-clear state of consciousness, an awareness that surpasses normal waking consciousness. Additionally the visions have order, persistence, what the entities say makes sense, and at times give information that can be validated in this world. All of this happens at a time when the brain is crippled and should be least able to produce such a rich experience.
YOu were not ready to die. Please read the New Testiment of the Bible, ensure your eternal salvation. Accept Jesus as your personal savior. He died on the cross for your sins, His blood must cover them, your sins. If being good was good enough, Jesus would not have had to die for us.
@dogcomb47 And what if I don't accept Jesus into my life? I'm then damned for all eternity merely because I didn't believe in God. But he's all loving right? So why would he do this? Do you not see the contradicton.
The Christian God is the most evil, vain, sadistic being ever devised by man. That's right, devised by MAN.
What kind of all-loving, all-forgiving deity would commit genocide? Open your eyes and wake up to the fact religion has killed millions. All in the name of imaginary friends
Its man that has perverted god and who says that it was god as odd as it seems christians and god are very different things so in sort dont hate god, hate christians god set it in motion and christians took it completely different yes there is an afterlife and if you dont want to be part of that fine god does not damn people, people do.
@TheArkarnos Oh, don't get me wrong, I believe in the afterlife. I also believe in God. I respect it , (not him or her), I was merely condemning the Christian view of their pathetic deity that has killed more human lives then any other mas-murderer in all of human history.
we also once believed the earth was flat, and to believe otherwise was considered foolish. Same with flights to the moon, nuclear physics, microscopic world of germs and microbes. We couldn't see it, or feel it, or hear it, therefore it didn't exist. Just because we can't prove life after death exists (yet) we can't say it doesn't exist. We just haven't developed enough as a species to know for sure. There is much that we already know, but a lot more that we haven't yet discovered yet.
I dont GET IT ALL YOU ATHIEST NEED PROOF THAT GOD IS REAL EVERY NDE I SEEN THEY MENTIONED GOD AND YALL STILL WANT TO DENY THAT HES REAL ARE U SERIOUS AND PEOPLE SHARING YOU THEY TESTIMONY SO THAT U WILL KNOW THE ABSOLUTE TRUTH WHO EVERY TRYS TO MAKE AN EXCUSE OR DENY THIS UR REALLY DUMB AND YOU DESERVE TO BURN FOR ETERNITY!
@GreatnessBound32 Hey, I know it's frustrating, but God wants us to show love. No matter how tough it'll seem to witness to someone, never wish on them something as horrible as Hell.
@RedDwarffs go somewhere else and beleive that all of this is by chance, everything you think is just by chance??you don't have to beleive in jesus, but you must have some seblence of the soul pagan prefferably,i am pagan,we did not create ourselves, but be aware of things greater than ourselves!!hail to you and kith and kin!!
I really do belive in after life. My partner died last year and the amount of things that have happened ( all lovely) was being unreal. I have an appearance from him one night. I could go on
@timbor44 If you wish to end this discussion then so be it. I have done the research for myself. I have found no credible evidence disproving anything I have stated and have found no evidence to support your claims.
@timbor44 First, A "church study" refers to a study funded by church money. Second, if you don't know what secreted means you probably have no actually knowledge of the body at all. The brain secretes, or releases, hormones and chemicals into the brain before death. A simple Google turns up dozens of results in favor of this. This is taught in school, I learned this from my text book. It isn't some big controversy in the science community.
@timbor44 I have actually studied this extensively and the only "research", and I use the term lightly, has been done by private research firms being funded by either a religious benefactor or a church. The part of the brain that secretes these hormones has been thoroughly studied and is well understood by any respectable scientist or researcher.
@timbor44 I just read the statement from somebody who had a NDE, and said he saw his uncle at the end of that tunnel. Why do Moslems have NDE`s with Islamic background ?
I just came across an anglican bishop, who when asked if he believed there is an afterlife. said.... I don`t know... The whole audience cracked up. He further said, I believe that god`s love is eternal and he will take care of that problem.
Look up (D.M.T) before you dismiss these experience as religious or proof of any afterlife. These people weren't in contact with some all knowing being, they were simply having heavy hallucinations from DMT which is pumped from your pineal gland into your brain every time you sleep and extreme amounts rite before you die. Its nothing super natural..
She was just hallucinating as her brain began to shut down. When it is doing this it releases dozens of hormones and the synapse begin firing randomly. Then she was brought back to life by the hard work of doctors and nurses trying to save her life. There is nothing divine here.
@TeicaVu I have said nothing of AFTER you die. I am speaking of during the process of dying. As in, they are still alive but are about to die. Scientists have studied this effect thoroughly and understand it well.
@RayneRaven1 I am not telling myself anything, that implies a doubt in what it is I am supposedly saying. And sadly your response is quite typical. An end-the-argument statement used by those typically losing said argument. The insult is dry and over-used and I would have expected a better response if you truly did have any palpable evidence to support your claim.
I believe that there is a life a life after this one and is call heaven you you choose to repent and follo Christ the Son of God. but if we dont repent you have chosen to denie God's word and go to hell> you can chose today to repent and follow Jesus... and follow Him with obedience.. Amen . see you in heaven...
@QBRebel16 How on earth can someone whose brain is oxygen deprived and functioning abnormally, come out of their body and later accurately recall what doctors and nurses had said? "Remembering their surroundings and guessing, with the aid of senses that still function"? Doing all that accurately, thanks to a oxygen deprived brain? You atheists make such non-sensical arguments in a desperate attempt to deny the truth.
@cameronmoj The truth? All that you can prove (with inconclusive and heavily countered evidence) is that there is some sort of afterlife. You can't prove that you're religiously correct.
Also, how can you safely assume that I'm an atheist? There are Christians out there that don't believe in an afterlife (don't ask). There are also many religions that don't believe in an afterlife. So how can you assume that I'm an atheist? I am one, but your assumption is still extremely rude.
@cameronmoj: I agree. The explanations skeptics have for the NDE are ridiculous, and frankly the materialist model that we are nothing but our brains is on the way out. There are people who have seemingly normal intelligence and cognition with a sliver of a fraction of the brain of a normal person, as was documented in studies of severe hydrocephalus. Additionally, the same thing has occurred in Terminal Lucidity. The brain is a filter for consciousness, not the producer.
@QBRebel16 You are talking absolute and utter garbage. Look up "proof of life after death" on youtube. In that video, doctors explain that in the case of people who had ndes after suffering cardiac arrest, the heart and breathing stopped, then the brain STOPPED functioning a few SECONDS later. Yet they came back from being dead and recalled everything they saw.
@cameronmoj The brain takes at least 20 to 40 seconds for MEASURABLE brain activity to stop after cardiac arrest. That doesn't mean that it isn't functioning at all. Maybe you should learn more about human anatomy before you try to spew out utter religious nonsense.
@barlolSbarlo Each of these people had such an experience only once in their lifetime after being clinically dead due to their bodies having been deeply traumatised. And they came back as changed people. Yet you had not one, but several dreams that were exactly like their experiences. And these dreams didn't effect you in the slightest. You lying charlatan.
this is really hard to explain, especially on youtube, but imagine what infinity means. It means life no end nor beginning. So the bible says the soul will live for infinity with god in the afterlife. But how can your soul live for infinity if your soul has a beginning?? Infinity doesn't have a beginning. Life is the only infinite thing that has no beginning nor end. i hope that isnt too confusing, its alot easier to explain in person.
When someone officially "dies", they're brain functions for a few minutes afterwards. When they "die", blood is no longer moved throughout the body ergo no oxygen to the brain. In the state of oxygen deprivation, the brain kind of freaks out. All kinds of images can be place into the mind while it is abnormally functioning. Having an out of body experience is just the person's brain remembering their surroundings and guessing, with the aid of senses that still function, what happens.
What about when you faint due to the lack of oxygen to the brain? I have been out cold many times and cant remember a thing, why didnt my brain freak out and see all kinds of images?
@hudfadz Fainting is commonly caused by the lack, not absence, of oxygen in the brain PRIOR to collapsing. Fainting is the result of the body trying to correct the oxygen issue. Fainting also means the loss of consciousness thus why you can't remember anything.
When someone is dying, their brain releases dimethyltryptamine (DMT). DMT has been known to cause the visions seen during NDEs. DMT, an illegal drug similar to marijuana, has been commonly used by religious groups to induce "images."
@DemokritosAbdera Give me a break. I never claimed to know the brain stopped. It is a claim on another YouTube video, made by doctors who treated patients who had ndes. They said first breathing stopped, then the heart stopped, then the brain stopped; all in quick succession. Then after a while, the patient came back to life.
@Pentagon1337 If you saw nothing, then how on earth can you call it a near death experience? I mean, you probably were just in a coma. Your heart-beat, breathing and brain activity had probably not stopped. That is why you saw nothing. Come on, be more open-minded.
@C00lblkatheist And who were those so called scientists who induced NDEs? Where were those experiments conducted and on whom? And how could such experiments be conducted legally? Do you have any proof? Atheism is a mental and spiritual disorder. You atheists are so unbelievably pathetic.
@C00lblkatheist You have produced yet another pathetic, desperate argument atheists use in the face of compelling argument. How on earth can scientists use electrical and chemical stimulation to make people feel love and peace? And to review and remember every moment of their life and the effects of their actions? If those people claimed to have the same "hallucinations" after those scientific experiments, how many of them came back as changed people like these people did?
NDE's DO NOT prove the existence of an afterlife, I believe for many reasons. But, scientists have been able to induce NDE's in people who were clearly alive, via electrical and chemical stimulation. They reported experiencing the same "hallucinations" as people in this video claim. There is nothing supernatural occurring,
after the countless testimonies of NDE's, it's transformed my belief from fearing and ignoring the concept of my eventual death to embracing the idea of leaving this material world and my own 'body computer' (see David Icke) behind.
I've heard about those life reviews that occur during near death experiences. I'd hate to relive all the screw-ups and horrible experiences of my past, but maybe it might be for my own good. I guess I'll find out in due time.
Lol u had a near death experience n didn't c anything I feel bad for u. U think that would make u go back and look at your life and the way u live but instead u came back a non believer. How Satan has deceived u is such a shame u were merely a soldier at battle without a shield
l had a near death experience 2 years ago, let me tell you. There is no heaven nor hell. l saw nothing, absolutely nothing, no hell no heaven. The end.

What about those who come to the er completley out of it their eyes shut and they cant hear clearly but yet some can accurtly describe what was said and describle how people looked and even how they were dressed. Not seeing these people until well after these happenings.

uhm, when you are about to die, your body releases DMT. DMT is a psychedelic drug. This is what this whole story is, just a trip.
Failpailirl 1 week ago
@Failpailirl Why, then do all NDE's a) follow the same script, b) provide feelings of unconditional love that are life changing and feel more real than "real" life and c) allow experiencers to see and hear things going on while they are dead? I have had an NDE and also done DMT, which is always different from user to user, and is rarely if ever accompanied by feelings of unconditional love. Brain chem. might play a part in the death experience, but that'll never explain the rest of it.

@mjdosz Can you send me a message and tell me about your NDE please? I'd be very interested. Thanks heaps.

@brainless14 You may have a point, but consider this...Most stories are based on at least some facts and all great stories tell a truth that is recognizable in our hearts.
mjdosz 1 week ago
@mjdosz
I was with you till the end. What a person sees near death is not evidence. Large doses of Dimethyltryptamines are released into the brain right before death so you see whatever you want. That makes this a trip story and not proof that god exists.
brainless14 5 days ago
Brain chemistry, like our bodies as a whole are part of all that is. That certainly doesn't DISPROVE God either. Even the most powerful empathogens are nothing compared to the NDE experience. Dark matter accounts for 83% of the weight of the Universe while visible matter only accounts for 17%. Scientists haven't a clue as to what dark matter is. So, in light of what the Lakota people of South Dakota call Wakan Tanka (Great Mystery), perhaps our highest self should be aspired to, God or not!
mjdosz 4 days ago
@brainless14 Also, DMT will never explain how Vicky Noratuk, blind since birth was able to see during her NDE, while she was clinically dead no less. And how Pam Reynolds Lowery saw the surgical tools and heard conversations between doctors during a surgery in which every vital sign was being monitored and she was by every measure...dead. Don't blame you for being a skeptic. To someone who doesn't speak a foreign language, it might sound like jibberish...just don't be so sure. Do research.
mjdosz 4 days ago
@mjdosz Please don't say things like "DMT will never explain" and things of that nature after you just said scientists don't know everything. NDE's by all accounts that I've read are just DMT and Adrenaline.
True science has only really been happening since the Renaissance. That is such a minor time in our exist and we've only just begun learning. Nothing we know will disprove god. I am saying this video does not show "proof of the afterlife" as the title claims.
brainless14 4 days ago
This whole subject is bloody pointless. It makes no sense, has no evidence and can't be proven for shit. Yet people still fall for shit like this because they so utterly want to live forever in a mystical land where they can do what they want when they want. It's just so pathetic. Listen to yourselves. If you take these peoples sayings as evidence then you might as well believe me when I say that I have a mini fire breathing dragon in my room right now, no, it's true, it's my pet...
1123joey 1 week ago
@1123joey .... because the NDE they had was so bad. So do some research before you make such ridiculous statements. Why don't you have the guts to speak to someone who had an NDE? Are you afraid of facing the truth? Try telling them that their NDE was not scientific enough and see how far you get in your argument. You don't care how many are against you, you will never change your opinion, huh? Doesn't sound very open or sound minded to me.
cameronmoj 1 week ago
@cameronmoj I just laugh at the fact you see this as evidence. You have no idea what evidence is, you honestly don't. DOCTORS say these experiences mean something, when as a matter of fact, science says different, there is no scientific evidence for what you and these videos claims. You talk about truth and how I couldn't know it even if it hit me in the face, when the real truth is, you yourself are far from any truth. You believe in a God, you're an idiot. My case is closed.
1123joey 1 week ago
@1123joey: “DOCTORS say these experiences mean something, when as a matter of fact, science says different” Physicalism and science are not one in the same, physicalism is just a belief system that stems from scientific data. Science is neutral. There is plenty of evidence, both scientific and anecdotal that conflicts with the notion that mind=brain, and debunking mind=brain is all that is required to make the case for consciousness after death.
AnduinX 5 days ago
@1123joey: Such as severe hydrocephalus with above average cognition and no mental deficit, terminal lucidity in cases of severe brain damage, brainless organisms demonstrating complex behavior and learning capacity, and psychedelic studies where people report vastly increased conscious awareness, visions, and communication with entities where the only measurable change in the brain is a reduction in activity and blood flow.
AnduinX 5 days ago
@1123joey: The anecdotal evidence, which I also find very compelling includes case studies of shared/group NDEs, a mountain of accurate veridical perception accounts during NDEs including veridical perception in the congenitally blind who had literally never dreamed of sight before, induced after death communication, and shared deathbed visions.
AnduinX 5 days ago
@AnduinX At the end of the day, where is science publishing these findings? If there were evidence for these claims you make, then science would have published them, it would be all over the news, even where I'm from. But you know what, it isn't, because they haven't found anything that is evidence for this kind of thing, whether you think it is or not. I see no evidence, therefore I and everyone else for that matter has no reason to believe these claims. You're deluded.

brainless14 2 days ago
@brainless14 Great question! The evidence that convinced me was the case of Pam Reynolds. What is unique about her case was that her surgery required every possible clinical measure of life and death to be monitored. There's no way she could have seen and heard what she did and when. Faith is an important part of this because it helps you to become more skilled at bringing love into this world on your own. It's like exercise that evolves your spirit. Go to near-death com...good resource.

@brainless14--The beautiful thing is that you only get the proof when you step out in faith and no longer require it. cameronmoj 1 week ago
@TheDrewManXD One interesting thing though. All these atheists who beat the drum about how ndes are hallucinations have never ever had the guts to have an open debate with someone who has had an nde. You just sit back and come up with one ridiculous theory after another.
cameronmoj 1 week ago
@TheDrewManXD You are wrong about your claim that only 4.7% of people who came back from the dead saw these visions. The figure is much higher than that. But let's assume you are right. Are you saying that what 4.7% of people saw doesn't matter, just because others didn't see anything? That's a bit like saying most people failed at flying before the Wright brothers succeeded. So because most failed, flight is a scientific impossibility. Get my drift?

@TheDrewManXD: "is an estimate of 20%. Therefor not everyone sees things when they die which has been proven through scientific research." No, that has not been proven. That's a pretty straight forward argument.
cameronmoj 3 weeks ago
@1123joey NDEs being a mere production of the brain and a hallucination are desperate arguments by atheists to deny the truth. Tell me this then. People who have seen their own bodies on the operating table are outside their bodies, but their brains are still inside their bodies. So if they are physically separated from their brains, then HOW ON EARTH can their brain be playing tricks on them? How can their brains have any influence on what they are seeing?
cameronmoj 4 weeks ago
@cameronmoj you argue to 1123joey that Out-of-body experiences are REAL by saying that it is impossible to see your own body without any connection to the brain (physically), therefore being an impossible production OF the brain. I am not picking sides, but this argument is illogical because you are ASSUMING what you are arguing is TRUE. You can't say something is "true" and use that same "truth" to prove itself.
gamma701 3 weeks ago
@1123joey You don't consider such important facts and instead resort to insulting and name calling. What are you afraid of? That there might be a better life after this one, instead of absolutely nothing? If you're so tough, why don't you go and talk to a person who has had an NDE like the ones who appear in this video? Try to convince them there is no afterlife. That all they saw was a merely a production of the brain.
cameronmoj 4 weeks ago
@1123joey "You sir are ignorant. Pathetic if you ask me". Well I didn't ask you did I? And the reason I didn't ask you is because being an ignorant and pathetic person yourself, you cannot successfully judge me as being so. This subject doesn't fall into Atheists' hands. It falls flat on your faces, but you don't want to accept it. What more evidence do you want than what the people in this video testified? The fact that you deny such evidence is the epitome of ignorance.
cameronmoj 4 weeks ago
@mickymorrison I commend you for not insulting anyone on the internet. But this has been contrary to the attitude of most atheists I've come across. I have generally found them to be intolerant, nasty and foul-mouthed in the way they speak to and treat religious people on the internet.
cameronmoj 1 month ago
@cameronmoj To be totally honest, your attitude is no different from theirs right now. I think you need a lesson on what ignorant means. Ill informed, Lack of knowledge on the subject, etc. How are Atheist's ill informed on a subject that falls into their hands? When you say, God is real or an afterlife is real, we say, show me facts and evidence, you then SHOULD say, either, we don't have any or yes here they are, but you don't. You sir are ignorant. Pathetic if you ask me.
1123joey 1 month ago
How is this in any way proof? When you're near death the brain releases a chemical called DMT, similar to that found in a plant also similar to weed, only this time it releases a lot of it. It causes the brain to dream, causes hallucinations. This is far from "proof" of an afterlife. The people weren't even dead, their brain is still active, still dreaming, still hallucinating. Please people get your facts straight. Yes I am Atheist, don't hate...
1123joey 1 month ago
@1123joey: If these experiences were merely a production of the brain, then there would not be so many accounts of accurate veridical perception during NDEs.
AnduinX 1 month ago
@AnduinX I think you'll find there will be, especially because most of these people are religious, they believe in the same thing after death, meaning that they believe the same thing will happen, thus all of these situations are similar.
1123joey 1 month ago
@1123joey: What are you suggesting, that people have the experience because they believe they will have the experience? That doesn't explain why people who don't believe they'll have the experience have veridical perception during an NDE. Or, more impressively why blind people who literally don't even dream of perceiving in such ways have had veridical perception.
AnduinX 2 weeks ago
@AnduinX Before you die, the brain releases a load of DMT, this makes you hallucinate and dream. Now you tell me what you think you're going to dream and hallucinate about when you add up these two things. Over you're lifetime, you've heard about religion, you've heard about an afterlife that religion offers, etc... now that mixed with the fact that no human on this planet wants to die - fact. What do you think your desire to happen is? Think about that, and it makes sense.
1123joey 1 week ago
@1123joey Listen to yourself. None of the sentences in your comments gel. What the hell have hearing about religion, hearing about an afterlife and people not wanting to die has anything to do with ndes. You atheists keep repeating the words "dream" and "hallucinatio". Didn't you understand the brilliant explanation AnduinX gave? When you hallucinate or dream, there is very little clarity. People who have had ndes have clear consciousness and their visions have order and make sense.
cameronmoj 1 week ago
@1123joey NDEs have been published in scientific journals. And why do you claim there is no validity for ndes if they are mentioned in a TV program? These TV programs are documentaries in which highly qualified professionals like neurosurgeons are giving testimony. All of your arguments are no different to all the other arguments atheists come up with. Baseless, hollow and utterly pathetic.
cameronmoj 1 week ago
@cameronmoj With all due respect, this TV program is from America, one of the most corrupt places on the planet period. It's something like 90% of American's are Christian. That's shocking... 90% of people in that country believe in a myth... I don't know how anyone could live there... The things that get published there! Damn! It's difficult to filter the decent stuff from the absolute shit. You've clearly fucked up here. Where is the scientific proof for an afterlife? Get me some.
1123joey 1 week ago
@1123joey In any case, I'd rather deal with Christians. They're a lot less twisted than atheists. Where is the scientific proof for an afterlife, you ask. Are you blind? Haven't you understood these videos? If you want scientific proof, watch "The day I died" Parts 3 and 4 on you tube. It talks about the case of Pam Reynolds. In order to operate on a tumour in a very sensitive part of the brain, they had to lower her body temperature, stop her heart and breathing, ....
cameronmoj 1 week ago
@1123joey Cont'd ..... her brain waves were flattened and blood was drained from her head. She then had an NDE where she accurately recalled surgical instruments and what happened in the operating room. She also met two dead relatives - her grandmother and her uncle. Then she came back into her own body. Go and watch that video and come back to me and comment on it. Go on. I dare you. Bet you don't have the guts, because you can't handle the truth.
cameronmoj 1 week ago
@1123joey Mate, as well as the one I just recommended, there are dozens of videos on you tube where neurosurgeons testify to the scientific reality of these experiences. Yet you say there no scientific evidence. It's like you're standing in a dark room with no windows and you're denying the sun exists. When I asked you whether you prefer an afterlife that is better than this life, or you prefer there to be nothing after death, you didn't answer the question.
cameronmoj 1 week ago
@1123joey What are you afraid of? That there might be another life after you die? That you might go to a much happier place when you end your earthly life? Would you honestly rather believe there is nothing when you die as oppose to a much happier afterlife? I tell you what, if that is what you prefer, there is something seriously wrong with you (along with every other atheist).
cameronmoj 1 week ago
@cameronmoj Shall I tell you what I'm afraid of? I'm afraid of the human race surcumbing to one of the most pathetic ideas humanity could have ever come up with. The whole point of the afterlife is because of God. Seen as though God isn't real, the afterlife isn't real, or do you believe in God too? If so then no wonder you actually believe any of this. I don't care if everyone here is against me, numbers make no difference when it comes to who's right and who's wrong.
1123joey 1 week ago
@1123joey Goodness gracious me. You atheists just can't come up with a logical or coherent argument. You yourself can't even come up with one single argument that doesn't sound twisted or abnormal. Yes I do believe in God. You can't tell God isn't real when, by the sounds of it, you've done little or no research on the subject. Not every TV program on NDEs comes from America. 90% of Americans are Christians? Where do you get those facts? Sounds like a number you just made up.

How could anyone deny reality to this magnitude. If you believe in an afterlife, why are you here? Go kill yourself, after all its a better life. Kill yourself and live happily ever after. Do it
1123joey 1 week ago

AnduinX 2 weeks ago
@AnduinX Sometimes you just need to look at the bigger picture and it all makes sense why stuff like this happens. It's easy for someone to turn round and say, this means there's an afterlife, what isn't easy, is for someone (science) to turn round and actually look at the claims these people make, the people that have these experiences are not well accepted scientists, if there was valid scientific proof for this, it would be published by science, not a TV program.

But God wants us to know more about him. The most important thing is, r u sure about your sins are forgiven & your salvation? God is Love and he wants us to avoid hell which are not meant for us, but the demons n the fallen angels. We just need to accept his son Jesus who died for us n saved us from all our sins.

in the 1st place u've already blocked ur mind from accepting the fact about the existence of God.
JesusIsMyRest 1 month ago
By the way, in a way you are right about the stardust, we are all made up of dust and given with a spirit and there came a Life. After we die, the physical bodies go back to dust but our souls will remain forever. Is there anyone else says it with such an authority other than Jesus? Jesus either is a BIG LIAR or...HE IS WHO HE SAYS HE IS. If you seek him with your open heart you'll find him.

hebay2 1 month ago
@anatureperson You expressed your views very eloquently, but I still have to disagree. Awakenings normally involve someone who is in good physical health. The people in this video were sick and dying. They also talk about every moment of their lives going past them, feeling the effect of everything they did to others and meeting a Being of absolute perfection. People having awakenings don't have these feelings, because you have to have some sort of death experience to feel these things.
cameronmoj 1 month ago
I don't think these experiences are near death experiences. I believe it is simply the essence of who you are that is temporarily separated from the body. Without an ego the feeling is that you are one with everything. The experience is similar to what others have labeled as having an "awakening" but it is experienced while in the body.
anatureperson 2 months ago
This video prompts me to inform people on Youtube of this simple fact. There are no people at rest in cemetaries. The only things you will find burried in cemetaries......are human remains, rings, surgical impants, prosthesis, eye glasses and dental fillings, etc... but not a single person.

@rudiga666 Cont'd You said "there is no %100 truth if anything is real". Yet another weak and ambiguous argument from an atheist. What kind of an argument is that? If there is no 100% truth that ANYTHING is real, then there is no 100% truth that gravity is real. Does that mean you are prepared to jump off a 1000ft cliff incase gravity is not real?
cameronmoj 2 months ago
@rudiga666 One problem that you atheists have is that you all assume too much. No I am not a Christian. I am a Baha'i. It is not Christianity that has caused war and death, but rather people who called themselves Christian, yet acted differently to what Jesus had taught. If you think the Bible and other Holy Books were written by normal humans, then give me just one example of an ordinary writer who wrote in the same style and meaningfulness as Holy Books were written.

cameronmoj 2 weeks ago
@cameronmoj well if there is evidence it can be denied its as simple as that. 4.7% of people who are brought back from the dead actually saw these visions. TheDrewManXD 2 weeks ago

People who had NDEs talk about about feeling unconditional love, meeting a being of absolute perfection, being told their life has a purpose.

@TheDrewManXD They often talk about feeling the effect of all of their actions on people. Many of them say they were so happy they didn't want to come back. Many say they don't fear death any more. cameronmoj 1 week ago
Hope I made YOU a little more intelligent.
cameronmoj 2 weeks ago
@cameronmoj: I think that CO2 is a really poor explanation for the NDE. The effects of too much CO2 in the brain have been shown to produce confusion, coma, and dream-like hallucinations (which are usually nonsensical).
AnduinX 2 weeks ago
@AnduinX Thankyou very much indeed for the feedback about too much CO2. I looked it up and you are absolutely right. It is a very poor explanation for ndes. Atheists always come up with bad arguments. You only have to analyse their explanations, or do a bit of research, and their arguments fall apart like saturated vomit.
cameronmoj 1 week ago
The NDE on the other hand is well known for the crystal-clear state of consciousness, an awareness that surpasses normal waking consciousness. Additionally the visions have order, persistence, what the entities say makes sense, and at times give information that can be validated in this world. All of this happens at a time when the brain is crippled and should be least able to produce such a rich experience.

we also once believed the earth was flat, and to believe otherwise was considered foolish. Same with flights to the moon, nuclear physics, microscopic world of germs and microbes. We couldn't see it, or feel it, or hear it, therefore it didn't exist. Just because we can't prove life after death exists (yet) we can't say it doesn't exist. rennat24 5 months ago
It isn't some big controversy in the science community.
rennat24 5 months ago
@timbor44 I have actually studied this extensively and the only "research", and I use the term lightly, has been done by private research firms being funded by either a religious benefactor or a church. The part of the brain that secretes these hormones has been thoroughly studied and is well understood by any respectable scientist or researcher.

You atheists make such non-sensical arguments in a desperate attempt to deny the truth.
cameronmoj 6 months ago 17
@cameronmoj The truth? All that you can prove (with inconclusive and heavily countered evidence) is that there is some sort of afterlife. You can't prove that you're religiously correct.
Also, how can you safely assume that I'm an atheist? There are Christians out there that don't believe in an afterlife (don't ask). There are also many religions that don't believe in an afterlife. So how can you assume that I'm an atheist? I am one, but your assumption is still extremely rude.
QBRebel16 5 months ago
@cameronmoj I agree the more they try to deny the sillier they sound. Yet they call us believers ignorant and stupid!
csincali 3 months ago
@cameronmoj: I agree. The explanations skeptics have for the NDE are ridiculous, and frankly the materialist model that we are nothing but our brains is on the way out. There are people who have seemingly normal intelligence and cognition with a sliver of a fraction of the brain of a normal person, as was documented in studies of severe hydrocephalus. Additionally, the same thing has occurred in Terminal Lucidity. The brain is a filter for consciousness, not the producer.
AnduinX 3 months ago

@QBRebel16 You are talking absolute and utter garbage. Look up "proof of life after death" on youtube. In that video, doctors explain that in the case of people who had ndes after suffering cardiac arrest, the heart and breathing stopped, then the brain STOPPED functioning a few SECONDS later. Yet they came back from being dead and recalled everything they saw.
cameronmoj 6 months ago
@cameronmoj The brain takes at least 20 to 40 seconds for MEASURABLE brain activity to stop after cardiac arrest. That doesn't mean that it isn't functioning at all. Maybe you should learn more about human anatomy before you try to spew out utter religious nonsense.
QBRebel16 5 months ago
@barlolSbarlo Each of these people had such an experience only once in their lifetime after being clinically dead due to their bodies having been deeply traumatised. And they came back as changed people. Yet you had not one, but several dreams that were exactly like their experiences. And these dreams didn't effect you in the slightest. You lying charlatan.
cameronmoj 6 months ago
this is really hard to explain, especially on youtube, but imagine what infinity means. It means life no end nor beginning. So the bible says the soul will live for infinity with god in the afterlife. But how can your soul live for infinity if your soul has a beginning?? Infinity doesn't have a beginning. Life is the only infinite thing that has no beginning nor end. i hope that isnt too confusing, its alot easier to explain in person.
konovalchukdd 6 months ago
When someone officially "dies", they're brain functions for a few minutes afterwards. When they "die", blood is no longer moved throughout the body ergo no oxygen to the brain. In the state of oxygen deprivation, the brain kind of freaks out. All kinds of images can be place into the mind while it is abnormally functioning. Having an out of body experience is just the person's brain remembering their surroundings and guessing, with the aid of senses that still function, what happens.
QBRebel16 6 months ago
@QBRebel16
What about when you faint due to the lack of oxygen to the brain? I have been out cold many times and cant remember a thing, why didnt my brain freak out and see all kinds of images?
hudfadz 5 months ago
@hudfadz Fainting is commonly caused by the lack, not absence, of oxygen in the brain PRIOR to collapsing. Fainting is the result of the body trying to correct the oxygen issue. Fainting also means the loss of consciousness thus why you can't remember anything.
When someone is dying, their brain releases dimethyltryptamine (DMT). DMT has been known to cause the visions seen during NDEs. DMT, an illegal drug similar to marijuana, has been commonly used by religious groups to induce "images."

@C00lblkatheist And who were those so called scientists who induced NDEs? Where were those experiments conducted and on whom? And how could such experiments be conducted legally? Do you have any proof? Atheism is a mental and spiritual disorder. You atheists are so unbelievably pathetic.
cameronmoj 6 months ago
@C00lblkatheist You have produced yet another pathetic, desperate argument atheists use in the face of compelling argument. How on earth can scientists use electrical and chemical stimulation to make people feel love and peace? And to review and remember every moment of their life and the effects of their actions? If those people claimed to have the same "hallucinations" after those scientific experiments, how many of them came back as changed people like these people did?
cameronmoj 6 months ago
NDE's DO NOT prove the existence of an afterlife, I believe for many reasons. But, scientists have been able to induce NDE's in people who were clearly alive, via electrical and chemical stimulation. They reported experiencing the same "hallucinations" as people in this video claim. There is nothing supernatural occurring,
