Funny story about this song. Brian joked with John, saying maybe he should play a double bass on this one. 2 days later when Brian came into the studio, John stood there with a double bass. He had taught himself to play it in 2 days. So much talent in one group.
I LOVE this song and I LOVE Freddie singing it!!! I know it's Brian's song and all, but hey, it's FREDDIE!!!! He makes everything better! Best voice in the universe!

I think this is one of the rare occasions where they did something wrong. I really think this song sounds better with Brian singing than with Freddie. I love Freddie's voice, but it's just too showy for this song. Listen to the song on the Return of the Champions DVD and you'll see what I mean.

I had the misfortune of hearing PR's version of HTF....absolutely pitiful, flat, lackluster, dud!
Freddie would Never do that! He gave it his all, no matter whose song he was singing! His heart & soul were always left on stage, naked, raw, full of passion.
