My mother is an Armenian from Baku, I don't know if she went to this church, but those were some hard times. I don't blame the Azeris either, had our people not have been selfish and invaded Karabakh and its surrounding provinces, we Armenians and Azeris could have lived in peace today. This is why my mom had to eventually leave the country. There were no massacres in Baku either, the Azeri people helped us leave the country much like Greece-Turkey exchange, it was however a depressing time.

Building is in a good shape and is in the centre of the capital city within borders of the most popular square. Tens of thousands people walk by and give a glance at the church. Its a living memory. Elder tell younger about times when armenians used to live in the city, when there were no war and no issue of nationality, and stories are mostly about friendship.

The building was set on fire, its altar and crosses vandalized during the anti-Armenian rampage of 1990. The building has since served as warehouse and more supposed to be a library, although Ive seen no pictures from inside.

My mother is an Armenian from Baku, I don't know if she went to this church, but those were some hard times. I don't blame the Azeris either, had our people not have been selfish and invaded Karabakh and its surrounding provinces, we Armenians and Azeris could have lived in peace today. This is why my mom had to eventually leave the country. There were no massacres in Baku either, the Azeri people helped us leave the country much like Greece-Turkey exchange, it was however a depressing time.

Hi everybody. Adnan did a good job by this video. You can tell anything, but truth is in his words. Building is in a good shape and is in the centre of the capital city within borders of the most popular square. Tens of thousands people walk by and give a glance at the church. Its a living memory. Elder tell younger about times when armenians used to live in the city, when there were no war and no issue of nationality, and stories are mostly about friendship.

I wish Adnan well, but he is being dishonest in this video. The way Armenian church in Baku was treated is hardly a sign of tolerance. The building was set on fire, its altar and crosses vandalized during the anti-Armenian rampage of 1990. The building has since served as warehouse and more supposed to be a library, although Ive seen no pictures from inside.

I wish that Armenian Khatchkars will stop being destroyed in Nakhijevan or elsewhere simply because they're Armenian. Tolerance is one thing, cultural heritage is another, and the Azeris have not, as the Armenians, respected the cultural heritage as much as this video would seem to claim. We need to take further steps towards greater reconciliation and mutual respect by ensuring that our landmarks remain intact and realize that they are not parasitic to the other's cultural existence.

Yes it takes two to tango. Azaries are rather late commers to this game though. In berief lets say that Armenians waked up to nationalism way before the Azerbaijanies and or Turks in Ottoman empire. 6) i get very pissed about this topic because azeris and armenians lived in peace before some crazy govenemrnet decided to go insane and kik us out. so dont blame it on us for not having the peace that EVEYRONNEE once enjoyed to live in.. even the CIVILIZED azeris of the time. not anymore.. that term no longer exsists in baku. they single handedly ruined the city that my parents grew up in and i was born in. rethinkg ur actions next time. dont attack those that did nothing but bring happiness.

oo where do i begin.. ok 1) my whole family generation after generation is fomr baku and we r armenians so this video is VERy close ot me... 2) armenians did not LEAVE baku.. we were KILLEDD outta baku.. my own grandmother had ot hide from vicious killings and luckily survived to run away to russia. 3) U DO NOT WANAN LIVE IN PEACE!! because if u ddiiiddd u woudlnt have started the war to begin with.. armenians never touched u befor eu started getting all crazy.

im armenian from baku and it hurts MINE MORE!! u at least still live in the land that u were born. my family was KIKED OUTT!! to start all over again. y?? because some govt "leader" (more liek cowardd) deicded that chrisitinas cant live along side muslims and armenians cannot live alongside azeris.. I agree with you. A lot of people who left Baku, still miss it. I personally don't live there by choice but I dont think I could bear not visiting once in a while. I won't take sides in this even though I'm Azeri simply because of human decency. It takes two to tango, and it took two nations to screw this up.

Dear UnitedGreatArmenia, with the utmost respect I think you didn't quite understand what this video was about. I know FuserLimon very well in real life and he MEANT every word that he said in the video..I think it is a wonderful video promoting peace and tolerance..war has wounded Azeris VERY badly as well and I am happy whenever I see that a hand can be extended, despite all xenophobia and hatred..It is worth of a deep respect to say the least..

You look at it from a biased point of view. Both countries are doing eveything they can to destroy one and other. What did Armenian sldiers get from killing little babies and raping our women ? Nothing but hatred from our side and to answer your question, Ramil got nothing from killing an Armenian as well. I'm one of those people who will never support criminals. We have to admit our faults in order to achieve peace.

Azeris say that Russians helped us. I do not understand what kind of help it was. I mean once they gave Karabakh to you now they are helping us to regain it???to be honest we do not need that help.Sultan Aliev is trying to keep Azeries against Armenians so he can keep his throne however this trend is dangerous once it can be out of control and again we face a new war that no one can predict its result.

The only reason that church is still standing is because Aliyev knows that destroying it would reflect negatively on Azerbaijans international image. At the end of the day, Christian countries are Azerbaijans biggest business partners today.

what does it matter if they have Azeri blood yet they don't give a shit about Azerbaijan. If Azeris had power in Iran, Iran wouldn't have developed such good relations with Armenia. Instead of asking me who Armenias partners are, ask yourself who will remain partners with Azerbaijan after it runs out of oil. Armenia will have partners as long as it has it's people. Human capital is the most valuable asset on earth and Armenia has plenty.

One thing that I don't understand is that even now that Azerbaijan has openned up to the world, Some Azeris try to distort history and instead of saying that Russia took by force several provinces of Iran, they make it sound like that Iranians and Russians were partying and decided to split the land. This is similar to the Turks denying the Armenian massacre. You can't change history just because you say so.

TODAY there are Ministers in the Iranian government which are Azerbaijani. I was born in Iran and there are no 35 million Azeris in Iran. The higest estimate is bout 18 million, thats it. Stop lying about speaking Turkish in Iran, thats only in the north where the Azeris live, most Azeris in Iran do basic labor jobs, they are not part of the ruling society. Yes there are many Iranians who have Azeri ancestry, but they consider themselves to be Iranian not Azerbaijani.Irans Azeris are depressed minority, sort of like the Kurds in Turkey,they have no siginificant power.
