  • key is to do it after a couple of warm and sunny days use the blower at a fairly low rpm (to direct the leaves rather then diperse them) and do the muck seperatly on a rainy day from the ground or an orchard ladder...this video is a good demonstration of how important it is how and when to use a tool...

  • This is a good video. Always be careful.

  • tim thank you i was stuck

  • In Australia we have very tight safety laws which restrict tradespeople from working at heights.

  • that hose attachment to clean eaves from the ground is a joke and makes more of a mess than you'll want.

  • I think you are crazy to stand on top of your roof. The risk is so not worth the inconvience of having leaves out of your gutters. Not even close. One fall and your worries will be on a LOT of things other than leaves. It would be easier to heat your home with a BBO grill in the living room but I wouldn't advise that either. Being cheap is one thing. Being stupid is another.

  • With proper training, the right conditions and confidence you can be on roofs with little danger. As Clint Eastwood said, "A man's got to know his limitations."

  • @skoalmen143 its like a 4-12 pitch roof that he is on lol no real way to fall off unless you arent paying attention or someone pushes you. i do roof and gutter maintenance as a full time job and will tell you if you use a leaf blower to clean the gutters be prepared to clean off the outsides of the gutters as well because if you hit a spot with water in it that will make a mess on the outsides of the gutters and your siding and windows

  • @lucasmorter It's actually a 6-12 pitch/slope. :-> Very easy to walk around.

  • @AsktheBuilder yeah any more than 8-12 and i tie off

  • @skoalmen143 I think what you are saying is good common sense. Reading the replies below makes me chuckle. Proper training, the right conditions and confidence....funny....people trip on the sidewalk, make mistakes in cars, fall down stairs...this mistake (to just clean some leaves off a roof) would be costly.

  • Here in Southern California I always use the leaf blower to clean out DRY debris before the 1st rains in December. As mentioned, if the gutters are wet the blower can make a big mess.

  • most gutters are full of muddy water. Do the leaf blower and see what kind off mess you get. It get's all over the house windows, neighbors house. spend more time cleaning up the mess then cleaning gutters. Fail

  • Good observation. I've had that problem in the past, which is why I used to do it when the gutters were dry. I don't ever have to do it again, as I discovered two years ago a gutter guard that keeps all the debris out of the gutter. I have the case study at my AsktheBuilder webstie. Type: Gutter Guard Truth in my search engine.

  • Thankfully the US does not have gutter brackets, with deep narrow gutters

  • thats what u all get for living of natur

in nature all the fallen leaves get taken care of my insects and the soil but since we always have to build non efficient stuff like houses the leaves wont get taken care of by for example insects

if we would have leave killing insects on the roog we would just freak out and kill the insects

  • been doing that for a while. it is sooo much easier then doing it by hand, of course the clean up on the ground sucks.... wish i could just snap my fingers and leaves disappear. :) love your videos !

  • Just saw you on the Adsense Blog. Interesting site and the content is a lot of fun!

  • that looks like allot of fun, I have seen so many ways from gutter rakes that you use from the ground with or without water, to covers that allow water but leaves slide off.. I live in a area where the roofs are 4-12 and 6-12 being the norm.. I have a idea for a invention to solve this problem..interested?

  • I get flooded with new products to test all the time. I am currently testing one now that seems to be the best gutter guard I have ever seen. I intend to do a video about it within a few months when the test is complete.

  • As quicky as I get a idea, my dreams get crushed. They already have the idea I was thinking of.. a leaf blower attachment that has a 15ft hose for cleaning out the gutter on the ground. Darn!!

  • you ask the adsense king give me some tips on adsense

  • Create superb content that solves problems. Good luck to you!
