I've seen Rosellas for sale here (Ace Colonies and Berkshire Bird Farm), you used to need to have a licence to keep them, but because they aren't endangered you don't need a licence any more. My fave is the Crimson Rosella, but I've never seen a tame Rosella
You are lucky to have Micky, I'd love to have a cockatoo, but they live so long, and I don't really have the time to spend with a 'too. Does Micky ever get out? He seems very affectionate. Where did you get him?
Oh ok, you must live in America? I'm in Aus and we don't have the Crimson type of Rosella here, it's very similar but a bit smaller and the colors aren't as bright.
I got Micky about 2 years ago, they do live for a while, he's about 14 now. A friend couldn't keep him anymore because he was too loud for the neighbors but I'm on bigger land so it's not an issue.
and yeah he's very affectionate, he's always watching what I'm doing in the yard and when I'm driving up the driveway he knows my car and get all excited.
Ohh, what kind of Rosella do you have? I love the Eastern Rosella the most, but they are all so colorful, heh. I never see them for sale here in the US, least not in the Seattle area where I'm near. I would die to have an Eastern though :P
I've got the Australian eastern Rosella. It's similar to the usa one but has a yellow face instead of the red face. You can't purchase them here either, because they're native birds. I found mine 2 weeks old fallen out of a nest. I'll post a video up soon.
thats so lovely!

Is his head stuck ?

@doritosalsa95
No, he just pokes his head out the larger spaced hole to get a scratch. He's happy in his cage.

@OhPhilly how do you know hes happy in a small durty cage?

@thailandcrab
The cage is not small, just looks it in the video and he cleans a lot. Birds only clean them selves when happy and content.

@thailandcrab that cage looks pretty fuckin huge to me
