Try change your gearing to lower the heat or you can get a heat fan for your motor and esc, all cars tyres wiggle a bit, well I hope they do cause all mine do

No.1 Rule: Never use a crystal controller when running both LiPo and Brushless systems.

Why? If somebody is on the same frequency as you or if a radio is on, your car will run full speed in the direction it is pointing in, your car will smash and your LiPo will explode, destroying the rest of the car and causing fire damage to the area.

ya i got the same car and the recever loses controll and with mine the if i over power mine at stop it shuts off. but really fast and dont go over rocks with it i hit one rock today full speed and it with 2 feet air born. (with stock battery 2years old)

Have you seen the other vids of people who get their 18R easily to 80 mph. Besides, the speed controller was a 25 that easily got hot cause I over amp and used a 3 cell. The kv of the motor was also around 8000 so low acceleration, high end speed.

You can convert almost anything into a drifter. You just need 4wd. Just either tape up the wheels or buy rims and but abs or pvc on them. Abs is more real but pvs is more slippery.

You've got to tidy up that car... remove that red tape and use velcro to hold down that lipo. Also I don't understand why you left the stock receiver on when you've installed the M11 receiver? When ever you increase the power of the car, the heat will also increase.

for the heat problem, try hooking up a small case fan that are usually for laptops. try to get rid of as much exess material as possible, so you can add the batteries for the case fan, and if you need it, a voltage regulater. i have a traxxas slash and i put a brushless system in it, and heat used to build up real fast.

it works wonders. if you need a wireing diagram, i can email it to you.

Not hating but your full of shit saying you got that car up to 70MPH and smashed into a wall and the car was fine. Your so full of it dude. I know for a fact that did not happen, that small car hitting a wall at 70mph i dont care what kind of car it is.. it will be destroyed! Brushless ESCs will get hot its just the nature of them especially if your breaking alot. For the loose wheels go get yourself some shims and shim the arms so the play is taken out.

Wonder why you would take the lipo, esc, and brushless motor off the car? 70 mph crash. Must have been another car. Your susp play looks fairly normal for stock parts. No $10.00 steering upgrade when you had it hopped up with the lipo and brushless?

I took it out because the brushless system has less control than the brushed. For some reason, on brushless, the motor would either star really fast or wouldnt fire at all. This is an esc problem but i was too lazy to fix it. I'm an airplane guy rather than a car guy. I had all these spare motor and esc around so i actually didnt spend any money. The suspension problem was fix after a while.

you can't always go by scale speed. Those 1/10 models that go around 100 means that their scale speed would be around 1000 mph.

how come u didnt use pvc for the tires?

and to make it off road all u have to change the tires. about the gears, they rarely eat rocks, but u can just put a pieco of plastic under the motor and CA glue it.

I didn't have pvc at the time. Now i have it fitted with ABS but on the rest of my drift cars, i used PVC. ABS is nice but it makes the car drift really slow. PVC is better.

The gears are exposed to the sides. There already is a plate on the bottom.

i like using abs better, on my tt-01 and heng long(cheap copy). i drift with 1/10 scales. I go with ABS, it is more grippy so u control drifts better. wat setup were u running? 15-19 turn is perfect for drifting. and a 6 cell nimh.

There isn't really a good car preface. I mean unlike planes, cars in general have predicatable and friendly tendancies but the 18r is a car i would recomend to a begginer.

How can you use 2S LiPo on stock ESC? Sholdn't stock ESC burn with 2S LiPo because it won't detect it?

No, 2S lipo is equal to the stock 7.2 battery they give you. And it seems like the stock ESC is good up to 3s BUT THAT IS IT. Im not sure what you mean by sensing but if you elaborate i can hopefully try to answer.

um. unless you mean 2 cm, there in a problem with your shocks. are they really stiff? cause if they are, your oil inside might be too thick or too full. without seeing it i cant tell.

umm normally you'll have to cut out part of the chasis to lay flat the battery but i stood mine straight up so it fits without modifying.
