@78fufluns So,for you to be a perfect baroque singer one only has to be FUNNY? Actually true baroque isn't CIRCUS. If you want to enjoy only clowns you can do to the realy CIRCUS. There's need to make circus of castrati, though at their time ignorant people also made fun of them that they miss something. @sjuli17 Be fair too, 78fufluns is right to say it's FUNNY as I see 2 clowns here making fun of baroque and Carestini - pure POP PJ and Haim. Is it a perfect combination for Castrati legends to be FUNNY?! Baroque is first of all about moving the heart and showing wide range of human emotions, not only singing in small untrained falsetto on high notes. Real CTs have all 3 well-developed registers, not just FLAT PJ's voice."This album will centuries later..."Who the hell can claim what'll happen?

Bullshit! Cheap commenrcial crap as everything PJ presents without any notion of style! intelligent musicianship? LOL He is only a pop singer performing in falsetto baroque and other classical stuff , and it's presented as true baroque counted on people's ignorance as baroque in general isn't such a well-known stuff! Who else could bring today this beauty but this overpromoted falsettist?! Of course, real countertenors with true OPERATIC TECHNIQUE, great breath control, not like PJ's FLAT voice!

I'm really jealous of the caliber of orchestra he works with :) They bow together, give rising and falling inflections together, have perfect chord balance, intonation so excellent that it makes the string section sound whole, like an individual. And damn fine conductor at that.

Of course, there is Jaroussky too :)

fiquei viciado ,se posso dizer assim,depois de ter assistido o filme do castrato farinelli,hoje nao gosto de oparas que nao sejam cantadas por contra-tenores,e maravilhoso e sempre me emociono e mesmo lindo e o philippe e o melhor de todos com certeza
