HAMAS's charter states that they want an Islamic caliphate without Jews(articles 14, 32 for example). Sanctions are neccesary to keep weapons from HAMAS, just like on Iran and Syria.

Not to mention Palestinian attacks against Israel are largely unorganized and committed by extremists, while Israeli attacks are committed by an organized military force. @GWC1975 Have you ever considered the fact that, from the Palestinians' perspective, they're retaliating for Israeli attacks/sanctions? Put yourself in their shoes. Israel often blocks aid and keeps them confined to a relatively small area by literally walling them in. Because Israel has control over the well-being of Palestinians, it's their responsibility to stop openly aggressive behavior, like settlements and sanctions. There are many within Israel (like B'Tselem) that share this view.

@GWC1975 Let's reverse things. There's an Arab country that restricts Jews to a small area and blockades aid; 70% of the Jews live below the poverty line and 40% are unemployed. Knowing they live in squalor because of the Arab country, they get angry and try to fight back. The Arab country, with superior technology, retaliates with tanks etc, killing many civilians.

You may not admit it, but there's a racial element to this; you would absolutely side with the Jews if things were reversed.
