Oh love! Precious little ones! I've tried so hard NOT to pet my deer. But now I just have to. :D My neighbors are hostile toward them so I've been discouraging their hanging out all day every day. I wish, wish, wish I had more land nearby where all my little buddies could come & hang out all day & night if they want. Then I'll pet them & hand feed them. For now I must be satisfied with longing looks that go on for hours! :(

Their personalities are definitely "soft," but their fur is a bit bristle-like, and a bit oily. Still, if you pet them in the direction of the fur, it can feel smooth and silky. It's rare for us to touch any of the deer. Only the members of Eva's family trust us that much.
