@psychicriver Yessss! When I first saw Snoops Home Depot scene, I loved how real she looked and sounded!!!!! I knew she would be a good character on the show from then on. Also, when Chris walks up the alley and tells Michael to join him and one of the boys tells Snoop "Hey Snoop, yo sister in my class at school". And Snoops replies "fuck is you high or sumpting Nigga" That was so cool and understated, you almost didn't hear her say it.
If I remember correctly, in his original book Bourdain dissed Baltimore pretty hard, and basically said the only good thing about it was the cheap heroin.
@funkmike His editor & producers probably made him do a few shows there to make amends. He didn't have many kind words for Cleveland either but raved about Sokolowski's.
she just got 3 years probation for conspiracy to transport heroine. You wonder if she can stay straight while still living in Baltimore. You wonder, even with all the money she has, if she can stay straight at all. Hope she does.
"For another pit beef sandwich and some potato salad I'll go another couple rounds." "How do you want it?" "Medium rare, lotsa horseradish." -Wee-Bey Bryce
I hope everyone realizes Bourdain (and usually his guests/hosts/guides) take a few drinks of the local flavor before filming their scenes. In other words, most of his scenes are filmed while he's pretty buzzed. Thus, No Reservations is usually pretty goddamned entertaining.
Now dont get me wrong, I LOVE Anthony Bourdain, but this episode pissed me off a little. Kinda made Baltimore look like the shittiest city in America. I LOVE Baltimore. I was raised in Montgomery County, but my parents met in Baltimore and they took me up there almost every weekend. I remember being 9 years old and slurping down my first oyster at Lexington Market :)
Bourdain has effortless cool...probably from all of his travels and adventures, because most ppl would have said something stupid or awkward in the element with Felicia, but the guy was ice...str8 cool!!!
Isn't that the exact same table at Pit Beef as where D'Angelo Wee-Bay and Stinkum eat a sandwich? You know in the scene where Bey puts to much hot sauce on his sandwich?

Both of these are great! I'm watching season 5 of the Wire at the moment. It's gotta be the fourth or fifth time I'm watching it!

I want to go to the USA only to see Baltimore and where they shot the Wire. And then get capped by Chris for being a nosy tourist.

The Wire?
Do we really have to scape the bottom of the barrel of humanity to entertain one another?

Bourdain is a pretentious prick. I don't need him to tell me how great "The Wire" is. He rips off Hunter S. Thompson quite a bit too. Doucher.

This Chaps restaurant sure has gotten lots of screen time -- featured on Man vs. Food, Diners Drive-ins and Dives, and now No Reservations
