  • Taylor was/is so Adorable! And, Issac is the " Danny Wood" of the group! Whoa! ♥

  • 7 people just learned that the lead singer, they had a crush on, is a dude.

I actually thought it was a girl singing when I was 6 too.

  • @doctorfeelucky Ya, dont worry bout it. I used to think Taylor looked Claire Danes back in the day.

  • The days when people could sing live without autotune....Miss It..

  • Little Zac looks so tiny behind that Huge drum set!

  • Ahh, the 90's... back when musicians actually played their own instruments and didn't rely on auto tune and pre recorded hip hop beats....

  • I love these guys!

  • Talent!

  • all i can say is...i feel old lol

  • They are very talented and they put one hell of a show on! They sound just as good live as they do on there cd!

  • wow, they sound so much like the jonas bros in this live version

  • @Seston it should be the other way around. these guys are WAY better than the jonas brothers and have REAL talent

  • @ahadnagy167 AMEN!

  • Great Artists all 3 brothers !!!!!

  • Could you imagine how unpopular this song would've been if it was first released in this pitch?! XD But seriously, this is a great take on their hit.

  • HIS VOICE!!!!! 0.o

  • Take THAT all you lip-syncing, auto-tuned, so-called artists!! Hanson in the HOW-OUSE!!!!!

  • They sound great live.

So funny, though - Taylor's voice had obviously changed VERY quickly, and they had to transpose it down quite a bit!

  • Yeah for YouTube. First time seeing this. I'm sure they were nervous. It was the Grammy's after all! Being that there is at least a few sec delay on air, you would have thought they would choose a camera off of Zac. He looked so nervous but he saved it. Taylor is a true multitasking musician.

  • @mvp7747 I hope that was sarcasm because none of them are dead.

  • @rachelsmommy1710 lol no shit...

  • I love them!

  • the "little dude" drummer's name is Zac <3 Ike (Isaac) in on the guitar and Tay (Taylor) is lead

  • They are adorable.

  • @chaddvanzanten... those guys are TERRIFIC!!!! but I agree about the "little dude" drummer... he did exactly that!

  • @chaddvanzanten... those guys are TERRIFIC!!!!

  • hahahahahaha still funny "IM GAY YAAAAA" lmao

  • issac has braces! they are soo cute back then and still awesome todayy :)

  • His balls have dropped since when they first wrote the song, but that hasn't stopped him.....

  • lol @ that huge computer.

  • aw zac dropped his drumstick but its okay he recovered so fast.

  • Seriously miss those times!

  • I miss these days... where it was more about the real singing and true performance.

Now it's just all special effects and produced sounds... What happened to the quality of REAL music?

  • I cried when they didnt win that night

  • they can sing??? i never would of thought

  • @thejtrax Of course they can sing. Mmmduh!

  • @MMMBopYoFace LOL!!!1

  • @thejtrax Check out "This Time Around" on Youtube. A fine 70's style rock n roll song

  • I think i was about 6 or 7 when they were really popular. I really wish I was able to appreciate the days when it was all about the MUSIC and not how sexy the kids were. I mean...their KIDS!

  • is anybody else jealous of their hair

  • I haven't heard this band ever - How did i miss them growing up? Not bad, they're actually pretty good. These guys really can harmonize together

  • At least when he dropped the drumstick the cymbal sound stopped, how many "live" bands can you say that about now?

  • amazingly I hadn't heard this song until a few days ago. I don't understand why some people would have a problem with it. They don't sound like your typical "boy band", they played their own instruments and they harmonize freaking well.

  • ohh hanson :)

  • They actually sound great live unlike a lot of other bands. Plus they were so young and sang it perfectly. Sad no body ever gave them the respect they always deserved.

  • Zacs voice, lol XD

  • Ponytail=class

  • I remember watching this LIVE! And I still love Hanson!

  • 1:38-1:42 wow... switching from the congos to the keyboard, doesn't seem easy to me! These guys are talented! And still talented in 2011...

  • Aww, poor Zacky dropped his left drum stick towards the end. Did anyone else catch that? Maybe it's because I love him so much, that I notice ever little thing about him. He still kicked ass on those drums tho!! AWESOME performance from the brothers! I LOVE THEM!!

  • *sigh* a refreshment. I love Hanson now. It's just good to find a video from way back when I was 10 and a fan. :)

  • Wow the drummer is a lefty

  • Bravo!

  • i was so young!!!! i was like 6 when this song came out nd i loved it! i still love it!

  • Man-- I feel old. I still love this though

  • and they are still cute

    damn

  • Wow...does anyone know how difficult it is to play the drums and sing and keep perfect time? Yes Zac dropped a stick at one point, but the confidence with which he got back... effortless and smooth. All 3 boys, such genuine talent.

  • @MJUSAYIN at 3:46 that face just screams confidence

  • Oh my lord I haven't seen this in years! They looked so terrified!

  • @Honeybeebgs yep happens to drummers all the time.

  • a haircut would not have killed them lol

  • did Zac drop a drum stick at 3:43

  • Those guys really have talent...not like stupid Jonas who use playback, sucks!

  • 3;37, lol.

  • this was great, way better than the shit that's popular today. Zac is the youngest nominee EVER at the Grammy's wish they could have performed tonight, it would have been awesome

  • @ahadnagy167 Actually, Zac was the SECOND youngest person ever nominated for a Grammy (next to Michael Jackson). He was the youngest songwriter ever nominated for a Grammy, though.

  • Amazing performance! They're so genuine. :)

  • No frills, no autotune, no crap, just them and their music.

  • aj hawk on guitar

  • You can see it all in Hanson's Documentary "Strong Enough To Break" Its on youtube(ITZHANSON) & itunes & you can get the DvD at Hanson(dot)net. After leaving IDJ in 2002 Hanson started their own record company 3CG (3 Car Garage). In 2004 Hanson's album Underneath made its debut at # 1 on the Billboard indie Charts. Not bad for not having a hug fan base. The new album SHOUT IT OUT! made its debut at # 2 on the Billboard indie Charts. I would really like for other ppl to see how AWSOME HANSON are.

  • I LOVE HANSON!!!!!! & I have seen Hanson LIVE 5 times in Chicago!!!! 11/17/05 (isaac's 25th Birthday!!!) 9/29/07 12/8/07 11/4/08 8/14/10.They are the BEST band ever!!! Hanson are a really hard working band. In 2002 Hanson left their record company Island/Def Jam. Because of a disagreement over the style of Hanson's music. And Hanson was not going to stand for being pushed around by people who know nothing about music and are just in it for the money.

  • Compare this to all the crap you see at the Grammys now. Oh, I miss when popular music could also be good.

  • So awesome at 3:43- Zac dropped his drum stick thingy and they were STILL good and then he got it together again! LOVE THEM STILL!

  • isaac is like the poster child for the "awkward phase"

  • @mrsjohnmayer69 haha! so true

  • better then these Jonas Fake ass boys! Hanson had actuall talent, and wasnt all much about fame. they did what they did for the music, Jonas is doing it all for the fame..bunch of posers if you ask me

  • Crazy how long ago this was... I remember looking forward to watching this and being so nervous for them! I love that they're still touring and making good music!!!

  • Great job to Zac with getting the beat back<3

    love these guys!

  • i love Zac in the beginning its cute and funny i love hanson

  • DONT TELL CHILD MOLESTERS ABOUT THIS!

  • You say there are no honors for THIS video. True. However, the boys were in great form that special night performing wholeheartedly, candidly, and genuinely. Hanson were the most amazing thing to come " Out of Nowhere". This video is an affirmation to the professionalism 3 youths display(ed) - & that they were truly worthy of 1 receiving of the most coveted of all Grammy's. Song of the Year. AWESOME.

  • @ValsHot357 Well said! I actually got a chance to go to Oklahoma City (before going to Tulsa and dancing in Hanson's latest video, Thinkin Bout Something!!!!) and got to see their grammy nomination metals. It even had a display of their clothes they wore back in the day amongst many other memorbillia. It was amazing to see!!! Them boys deserved to win every Grammy they were nominated for!

    -mel

  • i love all you, kind ,passionate ,caring beautiful gurls.....WTF happened??????

  • It is still amazing to watch them perform! Both Now and Then! :-) My Boys! YAY!

  • fricken awesome.....write all their music...play the instruments...and sing it....real deal.....and zack had a nice save with the stick drop

  • They sound just like allison iraheta.

  • @FourTwennyTHC dude screw you! This guys were the shit back in the 90's! They had major Talent unlike artist today who synthese and autotune their voice.

  • These guys are TERRIFIED. Just look at em! No reason to be, though -- they rocked it. Little dude on the drums drove the bus the whole way and only dropped about 3 beats when he lost his stick! Man, talk about natural musicians... I don't listen to these guys but that's raw talent right there.

  • @chaddvanzanten

I noticed that, and agree they have talent to spare. But I don't thik they are scared, rather they are straining to get their voices to a higher pitch.

  • @chaddvanzanten dude these guys were so awesome back in the 90's.

  • @chaddvanzanten They actually matured into a pretty good rock band. Which is why they are no longer big since no one wants a good rock band these days. Ha ha.

  • @demonhoopa hahah yeap u are 100 percent correct. Its really fuckin sad cause all the new music these days is just shit

  • @chaddvanzanten doubt they're 'terrified' as you said they're naturals, even though this is early on in thier career, they're right at home performing.....believe that.

  • for all the people that don't know, Hanson is still alive and making great music. You should really check them out -- their newest album is called "Shout It Out!"

...not to mention they've started their own record label after a difficult merge of labels AND taken a trip to Africa to help AIDS awareness... not too shabby for all of them being under 30 still.

  • @eternallyhyper1 go suck my ballsack!

  • They were so nervous. I still get nervous still watching it. Tay's early, Ike's early.. Zac drops the drumstick... their voices were changing.... but the Industry missed out..

  • At the very end it looks like Zac looses his drum stick in his left hand, and he recovers like a pro ... he was the only really impressive thing about this band. At 12 he had some talent.

  • lol....how are they still popular?

  • @fastcarfastbike mmmbop is a timeless phrase!! what does it mean, nobody really knows!!

  • @fastcarfastbike because they make really great music and they dont care what people think of them. they sing live and never use autotune

  • I remember recording all their tv apperances on VHS. My room was ceiling to floor of Hanson pictures from magazines. Yeah, I was a "little" crazy for them, lol. But still love them. I went and saw them a while back in concert in B'ham. I'm 24 and was like I was still 12 in a way. It was awesome.

  • they look hot now. but damn, they were UGLY before

  • This is my first time seeing this in 12 years. Ah memories.

  • awe they look nervous

  • wow. from young boys to amazing, talented, gorgeous husbands and fathers. they will always be my boys.

  • they are soo cute !

  • Amazing

  • so much better than the stupid jonas brothers

  • @Jeffluvs80s That's pretty grody, dude. Ever heard of tmi?

  • @nosoapboxteachr NO, Not too much info...My LOVE for Zac IS FOREVER AND ME MASTURBATING TO HIM IS WONDERFUL. AND IF YOU THINK ELSE, Well thats your thought. Mmmbop!

  • puberty killed their voices

  • ha ha...that guy playing 2nd guitar has me cracking up!!!! He's havin a good time!lololol!

  • @denshep1 hahahahah i just saw tht....lol

  • holy crap that actually sound pretty damn good live!

  • @PFunkadelic1989 Jealous at there success huh?

  • Awsome

  • Comment removed

  • omfg they srill are amazing even after they hit puberty lol----one of the only bands who could still dominate even after their voices changed :) ahhhhh i still liked it beter with higher voices but this still was amazing :))))) hanson is AMAZING every single part of it no exeptions*

  • i miss it back then if only i could go back to the 90s

  • very impressive especially the little kid playing the drums

  • I remember they took it down a few steps because of their voices....lol..... oh puberty

  • lol, i'm str8 as an arrow but taylor was fucking beautiful back then

  • AGREED. :)

  • @wotrabbitfish-No offense but if you think Taylor was fucking beautiful back then, you are a faggot

  • just cause he looked like a cute GIRL to a lot of people doesn't make them faggots. I suppose I'm a dyke cause I like Melissa Etheridge? Now sod off & go watch "The Crying Game".

  • @wotrabbitfish-Girl? He is a boy, retarded faggot

  • LOOKED like a girl, can't you read? and sang like one too

  • @wotrabbitfish-No, I can't read, fag boy

  • you're just upset cause somebody said your hero looked like a girl, get over it. Now go fuck your mother

  • Ok, ENOUGH with throwing around of the word "f*g". It doesn't even matter who you're referring to when you say it- it is a disgusting, hateful, loaded word and it is NOT okay to use. It's not okay to go around calling people n**gers every two seconds, so what makes people think it's okay to call other people f*gs like it's nothing? It's not. nothing.

Aaanyway, just for the record, no, no one is gay for thinking Taylor was/is beautiful- it's the truth :)

  • quite agree, thank you

  • @wotrabbitfish i bet he can sing better than u

  • aww! zac dropped his drumstick 3:43.

  • i really like this song!! I finally realized what its about! And Zac's voice sounds really weird in the beginning... heheh

  • puberty it is

  • @ chocolytesprynkles

ur rite.... they all sound different

  • Give these kids credit for making music. Talented kids with a dream.

  • redhead5150 - "..Give these kids credit for making music.."

Absolutely - not easy to perform like this - and having to adjust for changing voices. And they were how old? This is damn impressive. They clearly put a lot of work into it and obviously cared about giving a tight live performance.

Let's see the smack-talkers do it as well.

  • Seriously! I mean look how incredibly much tighter they were than Taylor Swift was at this year's Grammys, and they were 12, 14, and 17 years old at the time!

I'd really like to see any other band that young sound so good :P

  • i fuckin love hanson i have a tattoo of there logo next to my heart fuck yeah!

  • Memories....fun times.

  • omg taylor is so hot!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Is that Peyton Manning playing rhythm guitar?

  • 3:43. EPIC FAILL HAHAHAHAA

  • Lollll :DDDD

  • This is real music at its finest... today's artists are shit compared to Hanson! Except Lady Gaga and Sliimy. Their awesome :D

  • ummm have you heard of lil wayne

  • @HITZhoney86 your comment makes me lose hope in humanity

  • This is an impressive performance.

  • flippin' LOVE hanson!!!! i had fun watching this vid + jammin' out 2 it!! lol!

  • OMG I kinda love Vevo for putting up good quality versions of this older stuff!! :D

Aaanyway, I never understand how people could write Hanson off so easily. There they were even back in 1998, performing their own music, singing live in perfect 3-part harmony, playing multiple instruments extremely well, and yet people laugh them off! What's EVER been not to respect about them!? <3 They're extremely talented and always have been. They were just very young :)

  • I remember this performance, i was like 5

  • vivo sucks, but hanson's the best!!
