I suppose a septum peircing would hurt about as much as a lip peircing would, I peirced my lip myself once and it barely hurt at all, it's just that the skin/tissue/shit on the backside of my lip was a bitch to push through, but other than that it was pretty simple. Although even after all of that my parents made me take it out since they hate facial peircings, so thanks for the tip about a septum.

I have a very small nose and one time I flipped my septum into my nose and it got stuck and my boy friend and I spent over an hour trying to get it out. Eventually I went to the piercing place and they got it out for me. Kinda scarry

There are one of two reasons why you are having trouble with flipping your septum up at times. The first one could be that the balls on your ring are really close together. The other reason could be that you have a wide septum or a deviated septum, sometimes that can interfere. Yea, my friend just took Fakir's piercing class, so I'm learning more about piercings.
