I had the comment about breastfeeding in the bathroom when I was still breastfeeding. I always responded with, 'Are you going to take your meal in the bathroom? It sounds disgusting when you put it that way doesn't it?' I had one woman adamant that I had to feed my son in the bathroom even after I stated that so I picked up her meal and walked towards the bathroom. She freaked. I told her. "You want my son to eat in the germ infested bathroom. Then you can share his fate."

I just have always felt sad for women who are so repressed or blocked or influenced by family and friends so that they hate the idea of breatfeeding, They go on to influence other young women against it, it's so sad.

Great video! Totally sharing on Facebook! My favorite is also "You're STILL breastfeeding? Isn't it about time to stop?!" Umm, hello people if you keep babies on formula for a minimum of a year before you give them cows milk... Ummm, do the math! I never hear anyone say to a formula feeding mom, "oh! She's 5 months now? She's still on formula?!?"

Oh my god. If I had to hear 1.more.person say, "you're still breastfeeding?" when my son was nursing I would have punched them. I swear! That pissed me off more than anything else. And it came from my own grandmother! She wanted me to pump before we went to the store so if he got hungry I wouldn't have to nurse right there. Pfft. I'd whip out that booby when ever he wanted it. Be it in the middle of the mall or the middle of the night. Didn't care.

The world health organization recommends two years MINIMUM. If someone does not want to see me breastfeeding my 15 month old they can look the other way. I am not forcing anyone to look.

I love when people say- When they're old enough to ask for it... they're too old. Um... really! My 12 year old asks for snacks... my 10 year old asks for a cup... my 8 year old asks to go outside to play... my 6 year old asks for juice... and yes, my 1 year old asks for breast milk... doesn't mean any of them are too old... :D

I heard half of those things when I was breastfeeding! LOL, people are so funny. When my son was 6 weeks old, his 4 year old sister had to explain breastfeeding to a 10 year old cousin! It was hilarious and sad at the same time. I nursed her until she was 2 and my son until he was 4!
