When he is trying to close the jaws at 1:25 it would actually be much easier than that. Crocodile's have huge biting force, but the muscles used to push them open are small. If they were already closed, you could hold them shut by wrapping an elastic band round them, their that weak. Even so, I love Red Dwarf and I am a huge fan.

@gp4nut bit hit & miss really. I'm a massive red dwarf fanboy but the quality definitely started to slip after season 6. this is from 7 iirc, parts of it were ok but you're not missing much to be honest. this is one of the few classic scenes

This is easily one of my favourite clips from this show. Series 7 (in my opinion) was a bit lacking, but this is great.

As many will know, this is from series 7. It's a great opening set piece to the episode. Series 7 is perhaps the most underrated Red Dwarf series. This may be partly because the series in general had a more film-like (and therefore less typically comic) feel to its presentation. It also came after the one-liner rich series 6 and it seemed to have fewer enemies this time so felt more subdued by comparison. But I think that it is better than series 8 and series 7 is a classy series.

IMO Series 7's #1 problem is easily the lack of Rimmer. That's why I haven't been able to get through it myself; I liked "Tikka" pretty well and SMaC is a great episode, but I haven't enjoyed an episode that came after. Bits and pieces of episodes, yes. Whole ones overall? No.

I dislike Kochanksi, and Rimmer is the character that absolutely made the show for me. I know the reasons for why he was temp. written out, but I just can't enjoy the show without him. It feels empty and bland.
