  • Seeing these in October, can't wait! Love this song on their live album, one of the best albums I've heard!

    Top upload, cheers!!

  • These two are just priceless gems of the folk world - and together they are spellbinding. I managed to learn the chops for this off Mitches guitar playing in this vid. Gonna torture my local folk club now. Oh aye, and those alternative lyrics... "Theres black sheets upon the bed, and a coffin in the shed, since the wife she started reading Dennis Wheatley..." Go on, sing it now!

  • Sally Wheatley was written by Joe Wilson in the late 1800s.

  • nice to see someone knows who really wrote this song, i'm pretty sure he wrote bladen races as well.

  • saw these guys at cropredy and it was a breath of fresh air from all the pompous snobby turds that seem to cling on to the folk scene

  • A fabulous part of England, the North East, great people of which BoB and Billy are two of its best ambassadors. Just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to thier music. By the way this is a song by the late great Alex Glascow.

  • brilliant :)

something i love about live folk gigs, they can be as funny as comedy gigs. I love it, the stories and wit of some of these guys matches their musical ability :)

  • Great song. Whats it called ?

  • Sally Wheatley

  • great video, it's always good to hear the North East lads.
