@sftwinsingermany Actually I only used the parts that came with the NXT kit (not counting the bricks that I used to make the housing) and maybe a small handful of old technic parts (mostly beams).

I don't have this (kind of pricey), but legoeducation .us sells an expansion pack called "LEGO MINDSTORMS Education Resource Set" which is just a huge bundle of extra parts, and new parts you don't get with the base set like differential gear boxes. Hope this helps!

0, Gravity does all the work, the only motors used (2 of them) are only used to reload the can's to be ready to drop down. If you watch the "Closer Look" you will see there are 2 doors, they create an "isolation camber" to hold the one can ready to be dropped. If it only had 1 door then when it opened all the "soda's" would come pouring out. So door 2 (bottom door) opens to release the "soda" when told to. Then door 2 closes, door 1 (top door) opens to drop a soda into the "chamber" then closes.
