I look forward for months to something to overpower the sun from decent distance to fill my picture with bride and groom (full lenght) in landscape position.
I watch almost every movie and I don't see what I want (to overpower the sun at noon of camera blitz, decent distance ), could you post an example of what I wish... I supposed it takes you 10 minutes to grad that picture ;) - if you could reach that I guest It's blow out many people.

Mark, I've noticed that you sometimes angle the speedlite straight up right (@ the 75 position?) and then point it towards the subject rather than at the standard right angle. Doesn't this cause problems with the AF assist beam as I assume that helps the ETTL calculating the correct exposure? Many thanks.
Any settings needed on the camera for "high sync speed" before start to shooting or these unit fix that for you when you use faster shutter speed than 1/200sec?
We have always been fans of Pocket Wizard. Not any more!
Testing a Mini TT1 and Flex5 and running tests using 580 EXII flash units we found the usable rang to be less than 20ft! Even then, we were experiencing power dumps and pre flash only on about half of the shots we took.
All this is a far cry from PWs claim of a 1600 ft range with full ETTL
The bottom line is this is a product that has been rushed to market, big on hype and poor on performance
Ugh, this is really confusing to me. I just want to be able to set my 430 EXII on a tripod and use it separated from the camera. Wich PocketWizard should i get? i'd really like the most basic as long as i can use my flash remotely. MiniTT1 comes with both pieces of hardware (the one that attaches to the camera, and the one that goes on the flash) ?? Thanks, and great video =D
@snapfactory How do i setup high speed sync on my 5d mark II, 580 ex II on my flex tt5? Do i need to do something special or this is automatic when using the pocketwizard ?Thanks..
A question for SnapFactory: Are you able to use a Canon 580EX and the newer 580EXII with the min&Flex ? Particularly in the configurations your shown here?
Oh, gotcha. Yes, you can mix and match with no issues. I've shot with a 550 and 580 EXII with no issues. I've also shot with a 580 EX and 580 EXII with great results.
im looking forward to more of these. i own both the 2 flex's and 1 mini and have not always been able to get them to do what i want. i appreciate these videos and hope you will do more. great video!
Hey, Mark, did you use Flash Exposure Lock on your model's face/skin to get the right flash exposure, or were you completely relying on ETTL using evaluative metering?
can u high sync an Alien Bee 1600 with two Pocket Wizard Plus 2?

How does this work with the 550EX's? I seem to be having some ETTL exposure problems with my tt1 and tt5...
Thoughts?

Hey Mark, I am a semi pro. I am not a full time shooter.
But I do get paid when I do shoot. I wanted to let you
know how much I appreciate your YouTube videos.
I have learned a lot from your product demos. I plan
to buy the PocketWizard products you discuss.
You are a great resource. I wish you continued success.
Keep sharing the great info!
Antonio.
