It's doesn't make you cool to be a "non-conformist" and just because something is somewhat old it doesn't make that thing a classic. All the comments suggesting that the Glee version is better than the original gives me the sad realization of how American Idol-ized musical tastes are now becoming. Glee may be a great show, but come on...the rendition is meant to be a glee club take on the song and strips it entirely of its sense of tension and longing. I fear it won't be long until the entirety of popular music in the states will begin to resemble the soundtrack of High School Musical.
