The best part is there was a hidden cheat code on this screen that went undiscovered for twenty years. When I had this game as a kid, I always thought.. Okay, there HAS to be something here, why would they bother programming it in.?

I remember sitting in front of the screen waiting for something to happen.... you know something funny, as most of the SNES titles had eastereggs all over the place! This was so much fun!

@Bennie050799 Yeah, I think you can get thrown out of office if your approval rating is very low for a long enough time. But this song plays when you tell the game to save and quit.

This music used to scare me too! I think it was because you couldn't get away from the screen at all - no matter what buttons you pressed it would just keep going until you turned the tv off.

Mate, I know how you feel... Mario's death animation in SMW used to scare me to death as a kid and I always used to look away at the game over screen, in case dead mario would appear like in Mario 3. It even made me scared of the dark, since the game over screen is a black background.

they did a cameo of Dr. Wright (crazy green haired guy) from this game in legend of zelda on gba (i think...) and he has a picture of peach (From mario - though they got the name wrong in the game) - its on youtube somewhere.

Some didn't recognize him or his music :'(.
