  • I'm getting this for christmas :D

  • ghost hunters uses this recorder.

  • Anyone use it for Saxophone recording ?

  • LCD with all those buttons? Why not Full Touch Screen?

  • @jcovpogikotalga Because then you would have to wade through menus and have your screen get smudged. Pro tools generally have nice chunky tactile buttons instead.

  • @iamjurell oh yeah, haha, didn't think of that XD

  • @jcovpogikotalga Because it would suck out battery, which is more important for recording longevity. :)

  • nice

  • Double A battery's Ewwww, not fucking likley!

  • How much does this cost?

  • @redhotwheeldon about 300$ in america

  • background music is distracting

  • i just saw this thing when i was in bestbuy and its huge as fuck, a lot bigger than the pictures made it look

  • I just brought the H4N. This work great for when I'm mix down track or DJ music. No More CD for me.

  • No video.....?

  • Zoom H4N Now 50% Off !!!

    at w w w . cheapbuy-online . c o m / zoom-h4n

    quickly in this month!!

  • The Manslator!!!!!!

  • The music is painful now that everyone has pointed it out...detracts from the product BIG time thinking of lame guitar riffs.

  • poor music choise

  • That's fine and true.... but loose the hideous background noise posing as music.

  • @Kramnosnits To each their own.

  • We use this one too ..it is awesome!!!

  • does anyone know the frequency response for the onboard mics?

  • battery? why not charge

  • Griping:

In multitrack mode you can only monitor through headphones, there doesnt appear to be an override. I thought that my selecting "Monitor on" I could override this but you cant. Also, you cant apply effects after you record a track. Very weak, you must re-record to apply a changed effect, why couldnt they just take in a dry signal?

  • @littlebigfis what's an override? if i've plugged in a guitar or an external microphone, can I hear the input sound live in headphones?

  • 50%off sale the Zoom H4n now w w w . cheapbuy-online . c o m/zoom-h4n/

  • i wonder if it's better sound quality than garageband.

  • @Natokowsky GarageBand's a computer program. This is a physical microphone. You can't really compare those things.

  • I bought this to suppliment my Canon 5D mk2 during HD video shooting.

Perfect solution. It has all the features you wish you would have while working with DSLR-based HD camcorder. Try it you won't be disappointed.

  • If we use a uni-directinal Lav (Clip on) mic as a sound input and record a lecture. Will it be able to reduce the surrounding noises of Fan and other people murmuring in the classroom to a near zero level??

  • Hi I'm Tom fron Chicopee Paranormal, I just got the Zoom H4N and I will be trying to capture EVPs with it. If I capture anything I will post it on my channel.

  • @ChicopeeParanormal Cool. If it works, Zoom can add that to their spec sheet:

Detects Ghosts and other Paranormal Aberrations @ <30m

Anyone else using this with the Canon 5DM2? How close to cinema audio can you get with this and a decent shotgun mic?

  • does it supports optical line input?

  • This is very popular with users of HDSLRs. It's an awesome piece of equipment.

  • Does this recorder have rythem or drum machine added

  • @vwrabbit65

It has metronome, which makes a clicking sound, and you can set the tempo for it.

  • fukin savage. gettin it as soon as possible. have the h4, but this is much better. dont get me wrong, i love the h4 aswell but this looks so much sturdier and more features, and a SPEAKER!
