I herd that they remastered it, and honestly... I wondered why. I mean, I think it's a good idea to remaster old movies if they look bad. But I saw the original version on dvd, and I have to saww it was the most real-looking movie I've ever seen. One of my favs. Maybe the remastered version looks even more amazing!

Spielberg had before making this movie done a lot of study into the UFO phenomenon. You can tell. Great!

I know he always studied the past to make his great movies ! In 80's was the best !!! Indiana Jones was unique ! But lately the last Indiana Jones was not at the top of his tops :-) But Spielberg it self is a greatest film producer I know !!!

I like his movie Saving Privat Ryan, because it made you think about war differently. Like that guy that didn't wanted to kill.

The tune of Close encounter it sow recognized. I have seen other movies who had those 4 notes in the background as churchbell, schoolbells etc, (someone told me it was a classical compesition), and every time it triggered me, thinking about this movie. It was like an extra bonus ;-)
