  • Russian microfone

  • Sounds awesome, just a bad choice of reverb for the song. Try a short plate or medium room algorithm....

  • Too much verb on the vocals.

  • We use them in a pro studio North Star Productions La Ronge . Damm Good MICS!

  • Those MK 012's sound great

  • Those mics sound awesome. Great playing and singing too.

  • Hi jackdb! I like your recorded guitar-sound quite much, could you tell me: Which guitar do you use here? Which kind of strings? Kind of Plektrum? Thickness? Brand? And how is the position of the X/Y-stereomics? -> 12th fret? little down from above? -> which angle? Sorry, but one can't figure that out from the video! Nice performance btw! :) THX, freechess ps: I've ordered a pair of the oktavas a few hours ago.. ;))
  • Great video, voice, song, player....

I like your voice a lot. What is the mic on your voice? Are you on Mackie also for voice?

  • Friend, first of all congratulations, great presentation. I was interested in buying a mackie Onyx, onyx but the writing has been made in china manufactured IN USA, its Onyx also has this made in china? I'm in doubt, because I wonder if the quality is maintained in these versions made in China ..... Thanks for your help!

  • Hi was wondering what OS you are using on your mac? I have the original onyx 1640 too (not the newer "i" series). My Macbook Pro currently runs OS 10.5.8 with no problems, but I'm wanting to upgrade to Snow Leopard 10.6._onwards.

The Song was a great bonus to listen to as I'm researching computer stuff!

  • sounds great

you have a great voice, especially for dave matthews style stuff

  • @wolfchimneyrock Thanks very much!

  • how much is it?

  • @MMXStudio You should be able to pick up a pair of the Oktava's for around $500.

  • Great demo of these mics. Thanks so much. Just picked up an MXL V69 and it sounds similar to the SP. Looking to get a pair of pencil condensers too, but the C1000's have a high noise floor and the SM81's are too harsh for me. Might try the Oktava's if I can get them for under $200/pair.
