they were dowel rods with little rubber balls on the end - like the kind you get in a candy machine...everything had to be homemade since it was science olym.
ya i never got to shoot the video of them together, it kinda did bad at nats cause the marimba was apparently an octave to high but it would have gotten 2nd if it weren't for that but o well, tomorrow i will have a video of the marimba by it self.
what state, in pa i got second and first was a bass marimba and guitar, a school also built a violin that was almost reel but their bass instrument was chimes and they got 5th.
they got 1st place for region and 3rd place for state (georgia) - the 1st place state winner made a violin that looked and sounded just like a real violin.
arent those allready made instruments? werent they supposed to be homemade? anyway thats badass music. if i were a dj, i would play that song after some good ol' techotronic musica
They actually made them for Science Olympiad. They do not have any parts from "real" musical instruments except for the bass strings. Then they also played a song that they composed in the Tool style. Maybe I should put that one up too?
We did so awesome at science olympiad... at least, Hannah and I did. 2nd place! Ben and Steve only got 3rd... what underachievers. But yeah, I don't care how good that violin chick was, they should have won. You should put up more videos from that day, both the instruments (and the guys playing them) and those other videos we took at home base.
i know that it dosen't matter any more but think you should have made yarn mallets
