yeah, I had one like that, think it was an '84? Mofo had balls, would scare the crap outta me and im 170 pounds. Also check your air/fuel mixture. Because that might explain why it wouldnt run without the choke on. And it does look a little rich, seeing as there is alot of smoke comin out of that pipe.

are u kidding mixture does have sumting to do with it dont kid me ive been building 2 - strokes and tuning em and that smoke is from over mixing building up in the base when the engine is cold , when u first start up when the fuel is left on the gas and oil in in the base and smokes like crazy when started nothing to do with seals , the only thing the gear oil is for is the gears and clutch no more
