13 will be 3 or 4 discs for the 360 with a massive update to the console prior of playing but ff games r always 100 to 130 hrs plus so it will be prob 4 discs.

@cloudvszell no no im alot older than you are i have played every 1 from 1 to 13 7 took an average of 53 for main story completion and bout 80 to 90 to max level and and upgrade all summons to max out out all characters and weapons 8 was short not nearly as much 9 took me about 121 hours to max out every1 to 100 and all weapons , 10 to max out ever1's sphere grids and best weapons took me bout 130 10-2 was dumb but none the less i put almost 100 hours in it.

Well the first one is being released this winter for Japan. Everyone else will have to wait and see.

Also that one will be released for PS3 and Xbox360.

While Versus will be only for the PS3.

I think that "fantasy based on reality" means the way this game is suppose to be about corporate corruption and the under-belly of society. Noctis's family has been compared to the modern day Yakuza.

All in all i think that FF Versus 13 is going to have a more gripping storyline than FF13. Either way i cant wait for them!

The whole purpose of them putting FFXIII on the 360 as well was because their goal is to work with all the systems and they didn't want a FFXIII game that was soley for the 360, it seems. kind of downgraded the whole feel of FFXIII because of it, could have been so much better as an exclusive. The battle system idea in their earlier video was much better, but if you notice, that was back before it was going to be on the 360, lol

there are some good games in the Wii, but FFXIII just wouldn't work for it. They will make one for the Wii though that will work just right for it. The whole point of making all these FFXIII versions is because they want to make one for each system.

I think they will make a Final Fantasy XIII title for the Wii, I really do. I already know of 4 FFXIII games. One is the regular one for both the 360 and PS3, then there's Versus XIII for the PS3 exclusivly, Agito XIII that was for just Mobile Phones in Japan only, but now they're coming out on the PSP, and there is one called Haeresis XIII. It's only got a logo made up, and the only thing known about it is it's supposed to be a PC game. I'm sure they'll make one for the Wii, I'd like to see it.

No, no, not Final Fantasy XIII, lol. A whole entire different Final Fantasy Title with a subname that is made to use the Wii's capabilities or something. FFXIII, in my personal opinion, went down in quality for the simple fact it was made for both the 360 and the PS3. The battle system in the early stages of the game were fucking kickass even more...but then Micro$oft came and ruined everyone's lives, lol. By 2010, almost all games probably wont even be able to fit on a single DVD disc, lol!! =D

no ff13 didnt go down in capabilities, square enix already announced that ff13 will use 100% of the ps3's power..but that on the 360 version some things wont be included and not to mention the large quantity of discs..and yes, soon one dvd wont be able to fit a whole game that is why ps3 is now and the future while the 360 is obsolete..

Didn't you ever see the old trailers? lol. The battle system was going to be like that until they had to make the changes so the two would be more alike on both systems. The battle system was gonna be much more like advent children style fighting. Oh well, we have Versus XIII to compensate for that ^_^

If you look at the basic known stoyline so far .... (it really pains me to say this) but its FF7 remake. Small elite terrorist cell take on large controlling entity? i hope the as this game develops they stray from this and develop it into another great story that i have come to love from square.

V13 looks better to me due to its originallity &its deeper look into the society of the world as opposed to the small cell saves world scenario.

That said this game looks brill & i cant wait to play it

Yeah, um, Cloud's personality in FF7 compared to Advent Children is a major difference. And compare FF7 to Crisis Core. Cloud is not even all that emo in Advent Children. He's a depressed dude. He can't kill his enemy, his girl and best bud died, he's got an incurable disease(or so he thought). You'd be depressed, and so he is.

But he was normal in FFVII.

In advent children I think he was just grieving about not being able to save Both Aerith and Zack. But he just needed to learn that it wasn't his fault and they don't blame him for it.

Yeah, I know. In Crisis Core, nobody has died yet and he's all happy and everything, but also just a little normal shinra soldier, not the hero. It's kinda funny to compare between Crisis core and Advent Children. But yeah, by the end of Advent Children he's all better, for the most part.

Final Fantasy X did hit it big.

It was the best-selling game( second place ) in PS2 and still a big accomplishment in Final Fantasy series like IV, VI, and VII.
