Yeah for Fire's heaviness...too many misses. I so prefer using Wind.

All spells have the same accuracy; C ranks are 90, B ranks are 80, and A ranks are 70.

That's pretty much how it works.

Mental math. Character's whatever STR + weapon might - enemy's defense = damage. Unlike the GBA and beyond FEs, the older ones don't automatically tell you the damage you'll do or if you'll double attack, so some planning ahead and mental math is needed.
