I have read somewhere that it was an asthmatic attack... sad...my grand daughter, who is btw half-Japanese, has also asthma under control (every day inhalations) ... then years ago the awareness of the acute potential outcomes might have been not yet so high, neither medications so effective...

Teresa Teng 鄧麗君 is a legend. Her sweet, soft and beautiful voice really no one can match. Her image was also very positive. No wonder she was loved and respected by so many fans all over the world. What a great loss that she died so young and what a pity that she did not live a happy life that she deserved.

You can search for "Teresa Teng" on internet. There are a lot of information about her. The more you know about her and her life, the deeper you will understand how she lived. If you grew up in Taiwan about 30 to 40 years ago and watched her performances on TV, heard her songs, bought her records/cassettes/CDs and read her news everyday, you will have a special feeling and thought about this great singer. Everyone has different thoughts and opinions about her. I personally respect her so much.

She died while vacationing in Chiang Mai, Thailand on May 8th,95 after suffering a severe and sudden asthmatic attack(being always asthmatic), unfortunately when she was found they were unable to revive her...no, she never got married..though I think she would have liked to..It's probably her love life that wasn't all that happy I think.. quite unfortunate for such a talented and will loved singer like her..!!!
