I remember the switch over... The thought of runescape in 3d was epic, especially the new log in page with the music...

I just started playing for the first time since like early 04 or late 03 and I miss the old runescape... I think about 80% of my runescape life was spent in 2d

Before Tutorial Island you would just spawn in Lumbridge without any tips or tutorials. I miss the item icons in your inventory, you can see in this vid how nice and detailed rune legs and platebody looked in rs classic.

you fight the rats then you had to sleep at the end then talk to a dwarf... this isnt tutorial island...?

The steps for the island was:

Make your character.

Kill some rats to learn combat.

Enter the long hall where you learn about cooking.

Head to fishing area. Learn to cut trees to make fires.

Head to mining, smithing area.

Then go kill chickens with magic.

Like I said in the video it was just me acting out what I recalled from doing the tutorial originally.

Classic is closed to new members, but those who have played it before can if they meet the last deadline for activity.

Only way they would open it would be for a new server marked with, trade limits and no wilds.

But I don't really see that happening.

I used the makeover mage for the pick your character's design part.

I did not make any live videos when I first started playing classic, mainly just took screen shots so show friends.

About a classic mopar: As far as I've seen jagex has closed those down for good.
