That guy Bonynge had a great luck to hear such ''monsters'' like Sutherland and Pavarotti in their prime. They did some of the greatest recordings ever.

These short clips are excellent - you somehow pick up more than in the full-length programmes.

Imagine what a marvellous legacy such material is for future generations- if only we had Farinelli, Cuzzoni, Senesino or Malibran, Pasta, Nourrit .......
