Thanks for your comments. While i play Carnatic music i use my right hand for playing melody and the left for using the bender. Also need to keep up the timing / thalam in Carnatic music for which i use my left hand. Also Carnatic music system is based on melody unlike Western music which is based on melody and chords. Hope this clarifies.
