  • cast iron souffle` sounds like. good sounding , anyways.

  • I cant wait to try it...Im getting 2 dutch ovens this Christmas...looks great!

  • did it twice they loved it thanks

  • @fallguy56 Your very welcome!

  • Oh boy! That looks good.

I love the wind chimes in the background. It's like watching some sorta zen cooking show. You should close with a Confucian saying before you dig in. lol

  • This is great! I also love the dreamy windchimes you've got going in the background... They really take me far, far away. A warm summer's day, a light breeze, a Dutch oven with some good grub bubbling away, and an auburn ale with the sun's light reflecting through it (thought I'd add that for artistic liberty). What could be better? :)

  • @Coaljet Beer for breakfast?? Works for me :-) Thank you for the comments ..... I love the wind chimes. Calms the beasties...

  • I have tried this meal a number of times with our scout troop and it is delicious, however the hash browns never tasted cooked completely so we have switched to pre-cooked hash brown patties.

  • @digitizer101

I have never tried it that way, makes sense .... I agree that the hash browns are a non event unless they are browned. Reality is, by the time this is done, I am so hungry ........ Damn the browning!!! :-)

  • @digitizer101 When making this dish I start by using the lid as a skillet and browning the hash browns. While the hash brows are cooking I cook the sausage then combine add veggies and eggs. The result is much better and doesn't really add any time

  • looks good..love to see your dutch oven chicken picatta on here..

  • @scmclark Thank you!

The Chicken Picatta will be up next week I think .... just got my DSL fixed so I can start uploading again.

  • Great vid, very informative! I've been thinking about getting a Dutch Oven and this sealed the deal. Look forward to trying this recipe out! Thanks again!

  • That looks delicious. I love all of the ingredients. Of course everything is better with cheese. I can't wait to try it myself. The table you're chopping on looks really low. You should save your back and get a higher table. Thanks for the great cooking lesson.

  • @isabellibrizzi Thanks! Yes the Mountain man Breakfast was really good and the cheese made it better. The table height sucks :-) for sure. I am making extention legs for it, that will help.
