  • Not such a good idea to include the score when the conductor ignores the fortes and pianos. It does matter in this music. I'm not so worried about the tempo, though it sounds indecisive. But the accents are far too heavy.

  • this is just divine

  • THIS IS SO BEAUTIFUL

  • Thank for video and for spartito too!

  • Very beautiful! Bravi!

  • @serenaluce Agree with you that's beautiful but tempo is very fast and it spoiled the whole impression of the performance.

  • @spqrmor I agree. The tempo is too fast. I prefer Daniel Taylor and Sophie Daneman's version.

  • I wish I will listen to this with Kožená and Scholl

  • No definatly not.. How about Croft and Kozena. I know Croft is a Tenor not a Counter tenor but he is by far the best male voiced interpreter of GFH the world has seen. He would have no trouble with this.

  • Sheer beauty! Gorgeous voices, excellent singing!

I'm particularly into that perfect trill they do togehter at the end of the piece.

  • Yes wonderfully beautiful!

    c.

  • OMG! can you Imagine a recording of Rodelinda with Magdalena Kozena as Rodelinda?

I don't know why this opera is so rarely performed with a mezzo in the title role, but when they do that it's just great, I can only dream with a recording with Magda or Hallenberg as Rodelinda =(

    BTW great Daniels also!

  • do you have any other pieces from this recital?

  • Yes, I have the recording of the whole recital.

  • Dear Civileso,

is this from their Paris recital? Thank you so much for uploading this. Heavenly! Please grace Youtube with more outtakes from that recital, wherever and whenever it was.

  • I find the contrast of the voices very touching. Kozena can produce a very light bell like sound, and Daniels provides a more deep and severe tone.. they complement each other beautifully.

  • I can't agree more.

  • Beautiful!

  • for sound balancing. i more prefer

Andreas Scholl n Anna Caterina Antonacci version.

  • I am with Daniels'n Kozena.

  • @flute1982 I agree : the Scholl/Antonacci performance is simply excellent very sonorous...also excellent are Kermes/Mijanovic, and Expert/Petibon...thanks civileso for your work....I always learn things when I see the score....Big Peace to you!!!

  • Beautiful duets~

I'm also fan of David Daniels
