very poorly worded. A "beam of light" does not cast a shadow when a brighter light shines across it. OTOH an electric arc, which is essentially what this video simulates, is acually plasma existing at earths surface due to massive amounts of energy. Plasma, being actual matter, would cast a shadow IF a brighter light shone across it. But since the sun is also plasma, but much farther away, in this case u are 100 percent wrong.

No. This means they are not transparent and are therefore an obstruction for the sun's light waves, creating a silhouette :) Besides, it's not like they are just shooting beams of light at each other. :P Go have an LED duel with someone and tell me if the two light sources fight each other or if they pass through one another ;)

If it is 'obstructing the sun's rays' it would have to be brighter than the sun, or brighter than the immediate rays of light in the area. Fire two flashlights at each other. They DON'T give off shadows. Even if it was liquid it would not give off a shadow because it is giving off LIGHT.

The sun is making it bright like that, and the energy is not transparent(you can't see through it) or translucent(you can't see the light underneath it) making a shadow, No light, no see energy thing as bright. (But if they wanted to do this inside in the dark with light then my theory up above is irrelavent.

Two, if a light source is streaming photons onto an object, such as the ground under the beam, which you stated to be apparently brighter than the sun, it would be brighter, not make a shadow, and three, if the energy beam had atoms, it would be a matter beam, not an energy beam, which is impossible, because they would be giving off more atoms then they have contained in their bodies. Quit making shit up.
