Fuck sake.. I had come so far, then suddently I met on this water fella who dealt tons of damage and had alot of health. I teleported him away and continued, but everytime I walked a step, I lost 5 HP. I looked up and it said: Something strangles you. I thought it was my gold necklace, so I took it off and then died. Turns out, the water fella had given me a debuff, and when I looked at the stats that revealed what all the items did, it turns out the necklace could've saved me if I kept it on...

to become a lich is simple: set 4 zombies or skeletons in the 4 directions around you (N,S,W,E), cast dark ritual (this will sacrifice all 4 undead and shows the message "you are imbued with evil") then throw a dagger up to kill yourself (which means you must be at low health). you'll resurrect as a lich and level up
