I know it's on the NES but I've watched it a number of times and it works I've tried it and you can tell it's true because I made a video of me getting to level 100 and it's on youtube. but anyways the NES technique works it just takes a long time but it works and I have done it I will try to make a video of my and my bro completing the level on bubble bobble plus without any cheats or glitches.
This the one thing that aggravated the hell out of me in Bubble Bobble Plus.
In the NES game, the sprites were smaller and the gaps were bigger, allowing you to shoot bubbles with no problem.
If you think this level is bad, wait until level 99 (me and my sister beat it after about 45 mins). There are places to get trapped there where you can't use the method in the response to this video and just have to let the "hurry up" skeleton kill you...
I posted a video response for you showing how to do it... the game isn't glitched its just spacing and timing. There is one thing that bothers me... the potion.... half the time I get it, its impossible to collect all the tokens.... other then that the game is awesome :)
I know what you mean about the potions, but it was actually much worse in the original. Back then, you couldn't blow bubbles during the potion "mini-game".
you had it done at about 1:50. you just need to be stood right next to the wall. you were succesfully bouncing up, then moved over to the right... just keep going up in a straight line and you'll be fine
Dude, once you get on those bubbles, you have to shoot to the OPPOSITE side of your "room." That'll make a 2nd column of Bubbles. You'll notice that once you started making bubbles (EXACTLY where you were standing), you were able to make a bunch of bubbles right in a row. Its not IMPOSSIBLE. I've been there, been stuck, and when I got there the next time, I didn't give up and got out. Its quite possible, just keep working at it.
Jump from left to right. In air right next to the wall try to press like 0.00001seconds to the left and then try to shoot bubble and if there is room for bubble then you just have to press repeatly only jump and shoot bubbels and before you know it you are up!
PS. The room for the bubble is minimal so you may get stuck on the floor if the bubble pushes you down so just shoot other bubble to brake it...
"You just have to make sure that you're flush up against the wall while facing the other direction (which is much easier said than done...)". So that would insinuate that the level can be beaten. You just need to work hard at it.
Don't automatically conclude the game's "glitched up" just because a level's too hard for you.

My son and I are also stuck on lvl 72 of bubble bobble plus for the Wii. Very very frustrating!

This stage is a slight pain. What you have to do is DON'T MOVE when you start. You have to basically create a "bubble ladder" to get up to top.
You bounce and shoot at the same time until you are out. And trust me, it gets harder.

There is away to do this:

4 Player Bubble Bobble is friggn' awesome. If you have to use Save States, you might have the levels 90+ floor you.
