O'rly? I didn't even go for anything "artsy" in this one. If you'd say that about my "Örby Stars"-clip than I'd totally agree with you, but this one? Please tell what was so "over artsy" in your opinion. :)
@Tyskn hmm... with regards to being to "artsy" i can see what he means... you went a little heavy on the wide shots and scenic shots with all the palm trees and parks and beaches. skaters want to see skate spots and people skating them, y'know? the fact that the entire video is MOS and almost 4 minutes long kinda adds to the whole overdoing it on the "artsy" stuff.
thats from a skater-perspective though. from a promotional video perspective i gotta say job well done!
@loudmouth119 I totally understand your point. The video was an assignment during a video production class at SBCC. The demands were 1. It had to be with music. 2. No actors. So all tricks in the clip were filmed without the skaters knowing that I was filming them, otherwise they'd practically been "actors". I had to hang out in the park for hours! Kind of like nature documentary movies.
So yes, it's meant to be viewed from a promotional video perspective. :) Thank you!
Sure, I guess you'll be at the beach anyway, so just check it out, when you come down from state street to the beach area just go a block to your left and there it is. It's for all kind of styles..
