  • have to say, the camera work and lighting is sooooo bad on all your videos..it pisses me off..

  • @robblac why watch then knob face?

  • looks like a pain in the arse compared to a springer.. might stick wiv my stoeger x20s..

  • @robblac not at all mate, the key is knowing. I could get really boring on the pro's and cons but eh! personal preference happy shooting!

  • your bedroom looks about the size of a matchbox..

  • Dude, your accent rocks! Nice review bud.

  • @MrHw77k thanks man!

  • Do you have to re zero the scope every

    time you refill the gun?

  • @poloizme not at all. p.c.p's wouldn't have a market if this was the case. the gun works on the principle of optimum pressure, for the s410 its around 150-170 bar, when you refill the gun the output pressure does NOT go up i.e higher ftlbs. the gun is allways regulated at 11.5 ftlbs (standard legal limit UK). The pressure remains at 11.5 ftlbs until there is simply no propellant left to expell the pellet from the brach and barrel. so in short re-zero 'ing' is not necessary

    coot.

  • @coot19 Air arm are not regulated, only if you fit an aftermarket regulator,do you have a chronograph? if you do the sweet spot is around 120 bar which is around 777 fps,the power varies quite abit but the opposite to what you would expect, the less air in the gun tha harder it shoots unless its empty

  • @mrfishin101 what are you talking about? i have not mentioned anything about regulators! if you listen (if you can understand me) then I explain how there is a rough guide to the pressure remaining on board the action of the rifle.

If your gun is firing optimum at 120 bar there's something wrong 150-170bar for optimun pressure and shooting man.

    coot!!!!!!!!!!

  • @mrfishin101 get your gun checked if 120 bar is your best shooting. an Air Arms s410 begins to loose maximum velocity at 100 bar so if im right

    "120 bar would leave a remainder of 15-20 shots (under 11.5ftlbs .22)"

  • @coot19 im talking about accuracy for the pellets im using, jsb's at 120 bar you get probably about 10.5ftlbs which is plenty for ft shooting

  • @mrfishin101 gotcha!

  • @coot19 breach**

  • i have a s310 just back from the factory after a service as it was leaking etc. It cost me 167 quid! But it now has the latest s410 air cylinder and some internals.

The thing is though if i shoot it until its nearly empty it starts leaking air at the breach, is this normal? If i fill it up it doesn't leak but when its low it does quite noticeably.

Is that caused by there not being enough pressure to close the valve or somthing? Or should i return it to air arms again?

  • @srspower If your shooting the gun untill empty the back pressure in the breach seals drops causing a leak this is due to the rubber seal not sitting tight, it is however perfectly normal for the remaining low pressure to escape.

My advice is to shoot the gun down to around 100bar as the pellets have lost their maximun velocity at this point i.e from 12ft/lbs-10ft/lbs. If you do choose to leave it at 100bar there will still be enough pressure on the seals keeping a good airtight fit.

  • @coot19

Thanks for the advice mate, i will do that.

  • @coot19

Sorry forgot to ask, is it a good iea to store it fully charged rather than empty?

  • @srspower depends. If your leaving the gun stored for any prolonged period without using it (6 months or more) then empty the gun as usual but use the remainder of the gas to fire cleaning pellets through it will de-lead the barrel and empty the gun. If your leaving the gun for a couple of weeks no worries what so ever. one of the benefits of a P.C.P

  • @coot19

Thanks for all the information mate your a star! Any tips for a good reliable cheap place to buy .22 pellets online from?

  • @srspower there's a general standard price on good quality pellets. Due to lead prices. I have however seen an ebay shop ronniesunshine's they sell at around the standard rate. you'll be looking at £10 average for a tin of 500, you might aswell go to the local gun shop

  • how much did the adapter and tank cost?

  • @okachoe £180 all in

  • Nice video, my question is: The rifle comes with that adapter or you have to get it apart, and is it 1/8bsp male on the other side ¡?

  • @Tebanlol if your buying new then you will have the adapter. Failing that contact airarms for the size you need im not too sure on the dimensions. But i will find out

  • @Tebanlol adapter for the charging tank is female.

  • @coot19 thank you very much for your answer man!!! So this adapter that comes with the rifle (MALE) will fit any female 1/8 BSP threaded hose if I understood correctly ?

  • @Tebanlol I wouldn't asume so. If you pop in your local gun shop they'll will 9/10 have a hose that fits.

  • n00b here -grin- Was looking at these pre-charged guns .. are they still single shot like the break barrels? If so, are there any other higher velocity airguns (600fps or higher) that are multi-shot? (ie you don't have to reload after each shot?)

  • @bagsmode this is actually a 10 shot air rifle hense --> S410. the single shot versions (S400,S200,S300,S500) do have conversion kits also. There are higer velocity versions of both single shot and multi-shot The F.A.C versions but as it states in the abrevement (Fire Arms Certificate) so before you think about getting your hands on one youll need your licence and documentation.

    hope i could help

    Regard coot

  • @bagsmode If you live outside the UK it will depend on your countries laws on air rifles/fire arms. if you want a gun with more power go for a .22 rimfire or a .306 personally if you are going to use it for targeting/pest control even small-medium game the model i have (s410) carbine is ideal for shooting targets upto 100 yards and game upto 70 yards. Before you buy one go to a local gun shop and see if you can hold it up to your eye for about a minute. while there they'll answer your questions

  • Thanks! i was blowing into the nozzel before i saw this vid

  • @SgtSecsy94 haha

  • @brodster,look online for Rowan Engineering, they do all sorts of Airarms brass parts (triggers, bolt levers etc ).

  • hi coot mate , just wondering where you got the gold trigger ? it looks lovely fairplay

  • @brodsterxx allready fitted to mine man. But im sure air arms/ local gun shops will carry plenty of custom Parts like triggers, Bolts,Slides, and so on the trigger may come as a full mechanism so may be tricky to fit. Or if you have a jeweler/ industry friend they may be able to gold plate it for you making it a genuine 24 carat gold trigger.

Any other query's/questions message me peace.

    coot.

  • turn a light on in that cave buddy

  • @elbarto138 lol shitty camera.

  • hi coot -

The rmaximum fill pressure for the AA s400 or 410 is 190 bar. The max safe pressure is 200 bar. Overfilling to 200 bar does not increase power and may damage the pressure cylinder on the gun. Filling to a lower pressure will not decrease the power, merely reduce the number of shots.

The reason your gun did not fill immmediately on the first try was that there must be at least 50 bar in the gun cylinder before the firing valve fully seals. Air may escape until then.

  • @wodewarrior ive lived and learned and had so many lecture yes i kno i kno i kno simple resolution m8 cock the fuckin bolt.

  • @wodewarrior ive lived and learned and had so many lecture yes i kno i kno i kno simple resolution m8 cock the fuckin bolt. oh and you can fill it with 200 bar and the on the newer rifles 210 is the new failsafe

  • good vid

  • @518neo thanks man

  • Can you please tell me how much the compressed air is (tanks plus refill) as this is vital for me before I splash out on an S410. Good video though mate.

  • thanks mate

  • good explination coot
