Faroe islands and liechenstien are two good footballing countries for their small size. They play competitive football most of the time, although i think leichenstien are better over-all.

I agree with you.....Liechtenstein only lost 0-1 to Russia in WCQ recently. Malta also played well in Euro '08 qualifying but they've sucked so far in WCQ 2010.
Mario Frick is a good player to be honest. All the small nations have one decent player or at least one that plays at a higher level than the rest of the team. Liechtenstien have Mario Frick, San Marino have Andy Selva and Andorra have Ildefons Lima.
