For dune riding, the best bike around is a KX500 with a paddle tire and a pipe/jet kit.

@robfn Wrong! 250 pounds dry is a heavy dirt bike!I own a suzuki RM 250 and a KX 500.Trust me you can feel the 30 lb weight difference.and the Kawis fuel tank is placed high on the bike and you can even feel the weight of the fuel when your riding a KX 500 with a full tank!
