  • the one u have for family matter is not the song they have for the theme

  • Wow, DC and SF were ridiculously popular settings. I think I've seen more of them this year than New York.

  • The intro of Snoops is stupid. Never even heard of that lame ass show

  • You've never even heard of that show, much less have seen it, yet you can automatically attest that it is "lame". Super logic you have.

  • Dallas theme tune, EPIC!

  • Is that Amy Grant singing the theme for Sister Kate?

  • @tankgirl73

    She definitely is.

  • i loved sister kate......

  • i loved this show too.......i remember the lil jamacan kid saying "hey nun!!!!".....

  • I loved Sister Kate! Strange, with the exception of Jason Priestley, I don't recall seeing any of the other kids in anything else. "Neville" was only on for a few episodes before he was removed from the show.

  • and also, Daphne Maxwell Reid before she replaced Janet Hubert as Aunt Viv on Fresh Prince, I thought that she was great on there b/c she had more sass than Janet Hubert

  • Sister Kate was on NBC.Great theme song sets the viewer in the right frame of mind. I don't believe for a minute that Family Matters used "What A wonderful Life" as it's theme. Tim Reed didn't co-star on Sister Kate BUT he may have guest starred.

  • i loooooved sister kate. i remember jason p, i remember the little boy neville always in trouble...from the islands, mon. i remember the chick in the wheelchair. i remember oddysey channel repeats!!!

  • I'm in Preschool again!

  • The "Family Matters" open looks a lot like "Full House."

  • Please someone tell me where to find Sister Kate episodes.

  • wish I knew...I have been looking. I used to watch the reruns..think they aired on Lifetime, but don't remember

  • Hi!

Yes, I distinctly remember that back in late '90 or early '91, Sister Kate was on Lifetime. I don't remember the exact time of day it was on, but it was on at I assume 9 or 10 am (central time). I hadn't watched it since then, and I have no clue as to which network is showing the reruns of it. That was a fine show. Lifetime used to show several hours of sitcoms in the am, then a few movies in the early pm, and a couple game shows during late afternoon, from what I recall.

  • (Comment continued)

That's what the daily schedule was for the Lifetime back then. It would be roughly the same now, except there are more made-for-TV movies on that channel, and several double-doses of The Golden Girls and other sitcoms.

  • I can Always Remember Sister Kate,Me & My cousin Mesha Watched that Show when They Showed Reruns :),I wish That there Some Episodes Of that show I really Like 2 Watch Soon.

  • didn't Tim Reid play on SIster,Sister

  • Tim Reid did play on Sister,Sister as the father,he also was Venus Flytrap on WKRP and Hyde's father on That 70's show!

  • and also, Daphne Maxwell Reid before she replaced Janet Hubert as Aunt Viv on Fresh Prince, I thought that she was great on there b/c she had more sass than Janet Hubert

  • Ah, way back before Family Matters became the Steve Urkel show, lol. His arrival in episode 12 of the 1st season pretty much saved the show, to the chagrin of many 8D

  • I do like Family Matters, but I could not stand that Urkel character. To me, he was just like Lenny and Squiggy on Laverne and Shirley; he drove me up....the....wall.

  • i want to cry so bad. usually i'm not sensitive but this was my favorite show. sister kate

  • I thought that show was pretty decent. It had been years since I saw it, and when I did, the Lifetime channel had the reruns. Do you know what network it was on while in production, or did you see it when Lifetime had the reruns? I learned that it had a very short run, from 1989-90 or sometime in early '91, if I'm not mistaken. If I am wrong, correct me on it, please. ;)

  • well i was so young when i saw sister kate. I asked my mother if she remembers the show. she said she never watched it. so I assumed I watched it with my babysitter on channel 66 I am from chicago so I don't know what channel 66 was for you. for me it was the channel you changed to when you had no cable. with the big turner knob on the tv. I never saw sister kate on lifetime but I will research it

  • I remember that there was another version of the "Sister Kate" theme song, in which the instrumental part was slightly different--it sounded more upbeat than this one.

  • i would suggest you change the family matters opening (if that's even possible). perhaps the first episode did have this opening, but the following episodes did not. the little girl shown there was not involved with the show past the first episode. instead, jaimee lee foxworth took over as the youngest daughter for the next few seasons. not to mention, the song in the opening credits became something different. thanks for posting though!!!

  • In what episode did they start having Urkel? Everyone doesn't know that.

  • Dallas. I think that was the "dream" season, but liked that version of the opening credits.

  • The Dream season was '85.

  • Paradise! I love that opening.

  • Keep'em coming?

  • Wow ! Family Matters before it was "Urkelized" !! and an open from late in the run of Dallas

  • When did they start having that theme by replacing What A Wonderful world?

  • It was probably fairly early in its run. I wasn't a big fan of the show. It took the same route as Happy Days (same producers). A basic family comedy turned into slapstick by outsizing a minor charachter. Come to think about it, the orginial theme for Happy Days was Bill Haley and the Comets "Rock Around the Clock" before they had they own theme created real early in the run, which was about two to five seasons too long. (even Ted McGinley showed up in the later years)

  • The "Family Matters" theme song was replaced after only a few episodes. Remember, on "Happy Days," even when "Rock Around the Clock" was used as the opening theme, a different version of the "Happy Days" song was used as the closing theme.
