Beautiful album. She showed everyone that she could sing if she wanted to. She put the vocal coaching she got from Evita to good use. This is the Madonna that I wish would show herself now. The quality of the music was so high and so detailed. Truly right up there with Like A Prayer.

Both switched producers at those albums, significant difference in sounds. True the figure heads have their influence, but just another instrument to the producer. Her biggest hit "Ray of Light" wasn't even written by her. Just sayin. ;)

I love how people love to say she tried to be hip hop lol she always played with that sound. anyway william orbit has been spotted at her studio I think its a very smart move being that Ray of Light is still innovative.

This really is a stunning song, and brilliant album!!! Her best, in my opinion, slightly topping Like a Prayer, another gem! I think every single track on this album is a mini masterpiece.  Even people who don't generally like Madonna should check this one out.

Such a great song and album.Too bad Madonna has to always keep up with trends and end up making awful albums like Hard Candy, which in my opinion has been her worst. I could just imagine how great she would be if she kept making music that similar to Ray of Light.

You totally miss the point of why Madonna is so acclaimed. You would have never heard of "Ray of Light" if Madonna wasn't so multi-faceted and ever-evolving. Ray of Light is complete & unique on its own, & had she repeated herself, people would constantly be complaining that it didn't match the genius of its predecessor.

Madonna was prudent in her decision keep moving forward; if she hadn't, she could still be making the R&B of her debut; yeah I said R&B. She went from that to New Wave to Pop to Funk/Gospel to Dance back to R&B... You see my point? Madonna can be so many things, and therein lies her gift.

One of the best pop albums ever. The only track I don't really like on it is "Candy perfume girl", but the other songs are magic, such as this one. The voice, lyrics, spirit, all is great in this album. I really like "Music" too, this two albums are incredible. Other Madonna's albums are really bad compared two these two.
