Brian couldnt of imagined while giving these two a ride that it would end with him stabbing Brian in the face and raping his girlfriend..... after trying to murder him..... Poor brian.... the bleeding heart who wants to give the worst a second chance gets a run for his money.... His smart (hot) girlfriend on the other hand..... not such a bleeding heart..... she is a bit more down to earth, not as trusting, and weary of her instincts..... brian wouldnt listen to her.... they both paid the price

To the other guy suggesting me this is some kind of passing quarrel of his "right and wrong" I can't agree. The basic point of the movie and his character is that his right and wrong do not exist. I'm not here to argue a point-just express an opinion. He's obviously drunk when he recounts seeing a "door" with blinding light coming from it. I don't think he mentions it coming down from anywhere or asking him to hop in.

It's obvious he has no moral compass whatsoever. He's also on a self-destructive path.

He not only manipulates Adel, but Brian as well. He's surely psychopathic, narcissistic, and socially retarded, but you have to look below the surface of his actions.

Them doors..... Good scene. This can mean one of two things. He was messing around with the magic mushrooms at some point in his life and likes to trip OR he gets schizophrenic hallucinations.

Either way. A low IQ (for certain), remorseless, fearless brain with a tendency for substance hallucinogens or schizophrenic outbursts makes for a dangerous combination.

I wouldn't consider Early to have a low IQ, by any means. A limited education-certainly, but he is quite masterful in pychological manipulation.

As for hallucinogens-I don't recall any reference to Early doing any. His vision of the "door" could have been the result of a heat stroke. The story he tells sounds like he was probably working on a prison road gang. If so, it gets extremely hot working all day on the side of the road. ("On the side of the road-swingin' my sickle")

I like this version of Brad Pitt alot more than i like the awfull Troy and Mr and Mrs Smith version.

He is good as the villian type, he did great in Fight Club as well, and i just hope we will se something like this again in Inglorious bastards.

Tragical ending but during the film sometimes Early and his bride (forgot the name) also got my symphathy for their naivety and their efforts to achieve "friendship" (in the destroyed way they´re able to think of it) . Nearly brilliant film. Watched it in German and loved it. Must be still better with original voices.

He saw his death before.... He visioned the door s before and their blinding lights...which would lead him into a richer and better life.... One of my favorite scenes in the movie...There is a certain beauty in this scene which only a few people recognize...Kudos to the diretor
