I find it odd that you can dissassociate yourself so easily from the results of your religion. Especially as your own holy book is basically a series of racialy inspired atrocities. I was implying that those of other religions, not the liberals of those religions which you will find in the US, hate Christians and the message of Christ. On 9/21/2008 my only child Melissa was given 1 hr to live at Columbia Presbyterian Hosp Bx NY. Both her lungs were unable to stop bleeding. Drs said that not even a lung transplant would save her. I remember how in the supernatural God used Moses to part the red sea.So I prayed. God in the same supernatural power You gave Moses I ask You to close my daughter's lungs like You did to the red sea. I had a scripture in every IV bottle. She flat line 8 times and was suppose to be brain dead.

According to the bible children, under certain circumstances are to be fed to wild animals, swallowed by the earth, drowned in water, stabbed with swords, abandoned to follow Jesus, and otherwise generally put to death so I wouldnt rely too much on the bible as a guide on morality in how to treat children. ignoring the fact that you obviously haven't bothered to read the run of comments... so when Moses approached the children taken as prisoners of war, in chains, unable to defend themselves in any way, and ordered that they all have their throats cut, this was the world, not god 's doing at all?
(Do you think Moses slept well that night, secure in the knowledge he'd done god's will? Is he in heaven now, this genocidal child killer?)

(Well given the fact that the only way to heaven is through Jesus, and so all the Jews will be going to Hell and God's about to set them all on fire anyway I can't imagine why he'd care) But yes I would, If an 'all-powerful' God decided to kill several million children rather than do something less vindictive like make every single German tank blow up or even kill every single member of the SA and SS I would think this uneccersarilly cruel.

What if, intending to send a message to Adolf Hitler about his persecution of the jews, God sent a prophet to the fuhrer to proclaim that God would kill all the firstborn of Hitler's vaunted Aryan 'Master Race' (destined, in Hitler's mind, to become Nietzsche's 'overmen' above all races)? Would you attempt the same argument by outrage then? Pharaoh believed himself to be the descendant of a god, so the plagues sent by the God of the Jews was politically motivated, not hateful.

I don't understand much of the old testament motives behind God's decisions. Maybe someday we'll understand. With the arrival of Jesus, everything changed. Love became the only command. This is the new covenant. How can you bash Christianity when all it requires is to Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you...

Would you give a Scriptural reference? I do read my Bible and have done for many years. To my knowledge, there are no such people as you speak and Malechites are not a biblical people. I don't know where you got your information from, but if it is from an Atheist site, you should consider the source. If I want to find out about Atheism, I go to an Atheist site, not a Jewish one. Same for Jewish things.

You yourself when you made something change your mind to refine what you had made you have the right to do what you want to do to what you have created. For Christians... to die is a pleasure.. for we will leave the rotten world & join God in His righteousness and glory. I find it odd that you can dissassociate yourself so easily from the results of your religion. Especially as your own holy book is basically a series of racialy inspired atrocities. Moses whilst not a Christians was certainly doing Gods work when he murdered thousands of children. Is he in heaven do you think? Did God look down on the slaughtered five year olds and think it good?

Ask God what He thought when He sent His innocent son, His ONLY Son to take our place - to be tortured, beaten beyond recognition, spit upon, mocked, and nailed to a tree and murdered in order to save mankind from an ETERNAL hell which WE deserved. In part, I understand what Moses did and in part I don't. That was Old Testament Law. New Testament law is the Law of Grace.

Moses did not "murder thousands of children" -- God did, in His righteous judgement upon Egypt. He creates and destroys for His own Purposes. The people of Egypt were a rebellious people that worshipped false gods instead of the one true God, and they enslaved Jews. Most people would agree, today, that if someone or a group of people were being brutally enslaved, that the captors must be stopped -- sometimes by means of blood.

Ask a devout Hindu in India how they feel about Christians. Ask a Buddhist priest in Tibet what he thinks of Christians. Blood of every man is on the hands of every group because everyone is born evil! It is only by the Grace and Mercy of Jesus Christ's death that anyone acts out of his own interest-- whether they acknowledge it or not.
Name one Christian country that makes it illegal, on penalty of death, to be anything else? There are none.

remember that people who shed blood are not real Christians. they may call themselves so, but they can't have been born again if they do such things. The Bible clearly states that you will be able to judge who is a Christian by their actions. To be a chrsistian you have to make the decission to obey God. People who you talk about only think they are Chrsistians but in reality they are enemies of God, and satan uses them to give people like yourself a reason not to believe in Jesus.

I was implying that those of other religions, not the liberals of those religions which you will find in the US, hate Christians and the message of Christ. In contrast, a truly fundamental Christian (not the fringe extremists who don't understand the Bible at all -- such as the Westboro people) desires to win souls of every nation for the love of Christ.

Firstly, Christians are sinners, just like the rest of mankind and some have done great evil in the name of God (which is sinning against God). Although, I would submit that one is not truly a Christian if they have no conscience about killing anyone -- even in self defence it would be very hard.
Secondly, all religions, including Atheism, are guilty of such crimes. Have you ever heard of North Korea or China? Hmmm,,,,,, Atheist countries that imprison and kill Christians regularly -- TODAY?

Father Christmas in christmas carols says "You'd better not cry, I'm telling you why. Santa Claus is coming to town." This does not make it true. Likewise a book of iron age myths does not prove the existence of anything. Unless there is any real proof that is.

It doesn't say 'when the body fell, either of decay or because someone cut it down..' it says he felland his entrails came out. Another possibility is that 'hanged' means 'impaled' but it doesn't say this anywhere so you might as well say 'hanged' means 'fish'. You really are willing to twist it all ways to try and escape the fact its a contradiction aren't you?
