You'd think with a stellar performance she gave in this movie throughout, she would have gotten paid for it. Shame this was a "cult" movie no one even really noticed in 1938.

@outinsider You are so right. Lena was a class act from the start and did not receive the recognition she deserved as so many others in that time period. I did not realize that she did not get paid for doing this movie but I do feel it was a good start to get her out there and to her wonderful career. I do realize that she had to really fight for everything that she got though.

@outinsider Yes, that is an adorable song. She was in the bathtub when she sang that. It was cut out of "Cabin in the Sky". Nothing indecent about it that I could tell.
